China City — Restaurant in Elko New Market

The food seems more authentic here then in the cities, we have been coming here for over a little 5 months now since we found this hidden gem New Elko Market and this place hasn't disappoint Us yet. The food is great, always on point! Our family favorite is the donuts lol, there's something about them... I don't know what it is about how they're made but it's sooo damn delicious lol. Second is the hot and sour soup, and the egg drop soup, now I've had plenty... And I must say that here it is soooo good, maybe because everything thing tastes so freshly made and quality is awesome. Every time we order here it taste fresh not like the cities, that's why we always get food here when we're here. Best Chinese restaurant for sure! Hidden 💎 gem. Oh, and the lady is sooo nice and sweet, they're so nice, not like the cities for sure. I appreciate them, they're so thoughtful too, like they cut out card boards and put it in your order to go bags, so your food don't spill and everything stays organized! I ordered orange chicken it was more like sesame chicken without the sesame it was very dry, did not have any oranges in it at all. Very very disappointed!!! the egg rolls are small and again no flavor. I also ordered chicken fried rice and it was very dry and no flavor!! I had them once before about year ago food was great! Now no taste, no flavor, bland, dry, and u don’t get what u order!! Very very disappointing. I talked to manager he argued with me that the order was correct and that I was wrong!! I live in Morristown which is by Faribault mn so yeah it’s a drive to get another order. So I didn’t get my money back or offered a new meal. Been eating Chinese food very long time. I like to test a Chinese Restaurant by the quality of their egg rolls and ribs. The egg rolls were ok. very small in size. About 75% the size of Fong's egg rolls. Taste was acceptable, but no house sauce like Fong's. The spare ribs were uneatable. People seemed nice but spoke 10% English, hard to communicate or explain. Atmosphere on a 1 to 10 scale is a 1. Would not recommend or go back. The best Egg Roll in the United States in in Pittsburgh Pa at the Chinatown Inn. China City has a long way to go to even coming close to Chinatown Inn. For a better choice, I suggests Fong's in Prior Lake...
