Dunkin' — Restaurant in Ellington

Where to start. When this location first opened I was SO EXCITED! It’s about 2 minutes from my house. I live on dunkin purchasing multiple ice coffees a day. We all know how that first coffee makes your day on your way to work. Anyways. I would say about the the numerous times I have purchased food or coffee here they ALWAYS put cream in my MILK and sugar coffee. You can tell the difference in the color (cream is always lighter then milk). I ALWAYS have to say is this cream or milk (knowing it’s cream I use to manage a dunkin for years during highschool) the employees always say no this is milk I ask again they always reply no the sticker says milk so that’s milk. Then they ask the person who mad the coffee they continue on with no that’s milk... I ask them to remake it you get the continuous look of annoyance as they take the coffee back to be remade. When you get the coffee back ( this is even when it doesn’t have to be remade) there is ALWAYS coffee running down the sides of the cup to the point I always have to ask can I have a napkin please or can you please wipe down the coffee. I just got a brand new car I get my car detailed for about $230 each time I don’t enjoy getting coffee all over my car and the worst is when it falls on your work clothes. I have mentioned to the manger a few times this situation. The male manger he was great but whoever I spoke to in the past not so much. Cream makes me so sick with the worst stomach pains. Hospital sick. I usually wouldn’t leave a review because I love dunkin but enough is enough. Also I ask for extra sugar I never get sugar Mabye like one button push to no sugar at all. Great way to start off your work day. It’s not easy to come and get it remade. Please make this dunkin great! I hate having to go the other ones in Vernon. Had to add this in here as well. All the time the coffee tastes to watered down. Never fresh like you take that sip and it leaves the look on your face of ugh that taste horrible. Just this morning I come in here because it’s on my way to work. I’m a Ct Correction Officer and have many co-workers that stops in here for coffee and all have told me the same thing. Telling me not to get coffee here because it’s always the wrong thing and you have to wait along time to get service. This is my 2 Nd time in your establishment and my last. As I walked I. To get coffee there was a gentleman in front of me already waiting for a little while he then gets his coffee and I was next in line there was 3 workers and 1 sweeping and were all attentive towards drive thru. My daughter works for Dunkin’ and I know there’s a timer but you had plenty of staff to attend both. So after about like 10 minutes with no one at the counter I proceeded to leave as I’m walking out the door the one sweeping the floor laughed like it was some kind of joke that I walked out with no one at the counter to take my order. Making me late to work with no Coffee. This was today 05-06-19 at approximately 6:20-6:25 am. I must say with all the negative reviews and co-workers telling me about your shop they were right. I would like to say I am sorry for the other customers 2 to 3 months back for the lack of service they were given however my service yesterday in the afternoon(3ish)and today was absolutely FANTASTIC!!!! I saw only three people working yesterday and as they were darting back and forth they acknowledged me and another customer while apologizing for the wait and managing the window. Great Job guys!

And today, it wasn't as busy when I arrived at 3:40 p.m. but when I approached the desk I was again greeted with a friendly smile and had a quick friendly conversation on the bagels just coming out of the oven(lol).
