I've been to this place two times. The first time was just for dinner and I wasn't expecting to have one of the best burgers of my life. The food here is better than most pubs in the city. You really just have to try it for yourself. The beer selection is the other obvious highlight, but again, wasn't expecting to have THIS MANY beers. Apricot goses, cherry milkshake stouts, quad belgiums, all the way down to pabst. There's so much to try here and something for everyone.
The second time I came here was for my wife's 30th birthday. I was so blown away by the experience I figured I'd share it with my wife's closest friends and family. This was also the simplest party I ever had to put together because Eric (the owner) made it so easy. He gave me my food options, I made my choices, and he reserved the seating for the specific day. That day, the food was ready when people showed up so everyone was able to start eating and drinking. Food was, again, stellar. By the end of the party everyone was full and feeling good. I can't thank you enough Eric! Erika loved her...
Read moreI figured I should write a review for Bottle Theory, as I just found myself gushing to a friend about how wonderful everything is here. This spot is by far one of my favorites! At this point, we’ve hosted two parties here and the staff is always incredibly attentive and accommodating regardless of our group size. The taproom is very spacious, and the patio is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the warmer weather. As a vegetarian, I sincerely appreciate the variety of veggie options found on their menu. I’ve never spoken to anyone at Bottle Theory who seemed less than absolutely thrilled to help, which makes my heart sing as a former service industry worker. I know that good employers take care of good people, and there are certainly an abundance of good people here. I also love that the taproom is family friendly, and even boasts a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks and beers for my sober friends. Overall, I always feel like I can easily please everyone here - and that’s why we keep coming. Thanks for...
Read moreNo bar concept can satisfy everyone anymore, and Bottle Theory wisely doesn't try. Instead, it succeeds on several fronts. The space has a variety of seating options, fit to span different occasions and vibes. TVs are well-placed so as to provide the game but not feature it (although it could). 20 taps provide a good selection of local beers, and the cooler stocks hundreds of single serve cans, tallboys and bottles, available to go or to enjoy on-site for an upcharge. Someone looking to drink macro domestics will not do well here, but almost anyone else will fare very well. My friend walked out with a tallboy by More Brewing Co. for $3.67; it would have cost an extra $4 to drink on-site ($7.67). I also loved checking out on my phone on their website via Toast (easy to order as a group and pay individually for what you ordered). There's food here but I didn't have the chance to sample it yet. Bottle Theory comfortably fills a void for an accessible but upscale, lounge-like option that Elmhurst has...
