On December 31st, 1993, I visited this Carl's Jr.. It was and is THE ONLY TIME I was there, along with my two immediate family members, my mother [now deceased] Wanda, and my brother Eric Todd. That day, we travelled an incredible distance from Deming, New Mexico, U.S.A. to Bakersfield, CA., U.S.A., our home. It was nightfall, and westward travel on the Highway 58 westbound was valley FLOOR dense fog, exiting at Cottonwood Road, going westbound on Brundage Lane, fog gradually thinning to near clear on Brundage Lane westbound.
Carl's Jr. was there for us at 3090 North Toltec Road in Eloy, Arizona, U.S.A.. That is a true desert beauty, in any and all seasons, however, I have yet to see such desert beauty bloom twice in a year, Spring Season and come again, Monsoon Season Extratropical Storm remnants, effectively potent. I have no doubt that it is an ideal clearance and photography location, outdoors, natural and unspoiled.
Someday, the day may come when a chance could be taken, and I will reverse course, and if so, I will again be there, although not going towards California, but somewhere else, eastboundwise, and Carl's Jr. will be there, as shall I, alone, and a true independent, now age 53, and born on what would become United Nations Day, my fourth birthday...
Read moreThis Carls Jr. reinforces the negative opinion I have for this chain. The person who took my order was nice and made sure I got everything I ordered. However, the good stops there. I ordered a steak and egg burrito combo with a coffee. The hashbrowns and burrito were fresh and tasted fine, but it was the coffee that made me hesitate to eat the meal.
I cracked open my coffee to add cream and sugar to find a small hardshell bug floating in it. Now, I've consumed plenty of food/drink that had a bug or bit of dirt picked out of it beforehand out of respect for the inherent value of a meal. But, the proposition became unreasonable once I cracked open a creamer absent-minded and dumped in a lump of sour milk. Honestly, it was the first time I've ever seen a spoiled creamer, and the stench was quite pervasive in a closed space like a car. After that experience, it was hard not to overanalyze everything else I received.
Maybe it is just the caliber of management that is hired by these franchises or just poor training that causes these issues. At the end of the day, it's my fault for not sticking to my rule of...

Now, let's talk about the food! It was absolutely delicious—exactly what I was craving. The flavors were vibrant, and everything was cooked to perfection. Whether you're in the mood for a juicy burger or some crispy fries, Carl's Jr. does not disappoint.
