Rispoli Bakery 25 Emerson Plaza East Emerson NJ 07630
Chocolate Éclair Lobster Tail Chocolate Mousse Bar Tiramisu Napoleon
Appearance: 10/10 Taste: 10/10
Before I learned how to make reels, I previously posted about this locally owned bakery on Emerson Plaza East across the street from the Emerson Train Station.
I enjoyed the desserts so much that I wanted to explore more sweets and treats.
Explore the small pastries or indulge in the large desserts.
Chocolate Éclair: This dessert was filled with creamy vanilla custard.
The only problem was I ordered the smaller size, but I quickly learned my lesson and will definitely purchase the larger éclair next time.
Lobster Tail: This pastry has a flaky crust with crunchy exterior and is filled with chantilly cream. Due to its shape, it is definitely a perfect dessert version of the popular seafood
Chocolate Mousse Bar: Calling all chocolate lovers! The chocolate sponge cake has a layer of mousse with ganache on top. It’s so chocolatey, you’ll start to crave chocolate the same way Chocolate Boy yearns for this sweet treat.
Tiramisu (not pictured): If you are a fan of coffee flavored desserts, the tiramisu is right up your alley. In addition to coffee flavor, there is also a perfect amount of mascarpone cheese with chocolate cocoa.
Napoleon (not pictured): You won’t find any black and white swirls on this napoleon, but the taste is still phenomenal. The spongy cake is soaked in rum. It has a crusty texture and layered with vanilla custard cream. There is definitely more than a fair share of powdered sugar sprinkled on top
It was a pleasure re-visiting this bakery and further exploring more desserts.

Read moreI went to the shop to order a custom cake for my 60th birthday, as well as 2 dozen "fill your own" mini cannoli. I showed the girl who took my order a picture of the cake I wanted when I placed my order, which was an ivory rosette cake with tiny gold candy accents.
For the cake: #1 They spelled my name wrong (kind of a big deal on someone's birthday cake, and my name is Debbie, so not that tricky). #2 The color was way off, almost tan, not ivory. #3 No gold accents at all, which I reiterated as she wrote up the order and I also zoomed in on my inspiration picture to show her exactly how I wanted them.
For the mini cannolli: They gave us no pastry bags, which I specifically asked for when ordering. If you've ever filled cannolli, especially mini, you can imagine how impossible a task that was without the pastry bags. This was intended to be a fun feature at my party but turned into a messy and aggravating scenario instead. Now, the cake WAS pretty, and it was delicious - as were the cannolli. But I spent $120 with thoughts of perfection from what I know to be a great bakery, and was super sad not to get that. So, for those who are thinking of ordering your custom cake from Rispoli, yes...use them as you will get a yummy cake, but make sure a senior team member takes your order and that you check everything before you leave the bakery. I had my order picked up and by the time I saw it I was too busy to go back and make any corrections (not that I should...
Read moreAs a patron of Rispoli's since the day they opened their Emerson doors, My husband and myself have been "frequent flyers " to this wonderful little shop with a big personality. There has NEVER been a pastry or cake that could be complained about. I LOVE this place as do many others. There are friends and family with whom there is an arrangement.made, Never show up without their Rispoli fix or you will have to drive back to pick some up, lol. I've never forgotten and this is because I do believe they are very serious about their Rispoli's. Fantastic Lobster tails, cannoli, regular, cake and the dip dish, great mini pastries and Oh my, their American cheesecake must be...
