The ambience is decent for a coffee house and the girl at the counter was very friendly but the prices were high, portions small, coffee bitter and food mediocre. The egg cheese bagel was a good bagel with tasteless egg and cheese. The chicken salad croissant was lackluster chicken salad on an overdone hard dry croissant. The salmon spread bagel was actually good- the only redeeming part of our lunch. The affogato was bitter coffee with minimal cheap vanilla ice cream. It was definitely not the rich espresso with gelato that defines affogato. I am leaving this review because potential patrons rely on reviews to determine where to spend their time and money and businesses can improve based on honest reviews. I hope this business makes some changes accordingly because it is a nice little shop with friendly people. This place is awesome! Stopped by with my gf on our road trip from nyc to mi. Prices are very normal for a small independently owned coffee shop! The espresso was lovely and the feta and eggplant quiche was very yummy. I really am not sure where the negative reviews come from. My guess is that they are from those used to generic corporate establishments like Starbucks… If you give cute little coffee shops more of a chance you find they are quite charming, and great places to hang out! What a Beautiful and Soul pleasing Experience. The owner is Absolutely warm and kind and made me feel like I was with family. I got the hot ginger lime tea and chicken quiche.... both were Divine! The ambience of the Cafe was so welcoming and relaxing: alternative soft jazz music dancing thru the place, a side room full of local art pieces for purchase, and great conversation with Rosa.
