Had a great experience at Empire's Edge Cafe last Sunday! We were driving back from camping near Winter Park and decided to grab some food before hitting i70. I remembered the last time I drove through, that there was a new cafe in town, so we decided to give it a try. It was awesome! The coffee was great, the breakfast burrito I had was very good( they serve breakfast all day!!!) and my friend's BLT was the best he's had in years. The staff was super friendly and gave us the background of the business. It's an all employee owed business and they all are Empire residents, so this is truly a locally owned small business. They have some cool loungers to sit in around an indoor fireplace, which will be awesome to relax next too in the winter. I highly recommend this as the place to stop to grab coffee and to go food on the way to the mountains, as the food was better, and the price was less expensive than anything I've seen in Winterpark. Go support these guys before or after you head...

I came in here for a burrito and a smoothie the burrito was good and the smoothie was total garbage. I ordered a strawberry with raspberry smoothie and there were no berries in it it was just straight chemicals syrup . I appreciate the friendly staff however paying $7 for 25 cents worth of garbage is ridiculous and a total scam and I will not be back.

I also asked if there was anything that you I could have In my breakfast burrito instead of Meat and they said i could have veggies in there. There was no veggies in there it was only egg and cheese which was fine however however I would rather they not tell me I can have veggies and then not put them in there.

These are scam artists and I have no idea why anyone would give them 5 stars. Don't call it berry when there are no berries. Call it a sh!t n sugar slurry...

Local to Empire. Thought I’d treat myself to lunch out today before work. Was pretty excited about it not only cause I love food but also because I genuinely enjoy the opportunity to support my local businesses. So I took a nice little walk down the hill with my dog. I tied my dog up outside went in and was greeted kindly by a man behind a register. He got my name and after a few seconds said with confidence and with your locals discount it’ll be $37.50! Shocked! I literally choked and replied those are$20 sandwich! I payed the $40 and started my walk back up the hill! Kicking myself every step of the way. Finding a small sliver of hope to the thought of this sandwich being the best damn sandwich I’d ever eaten, and we’re crossing both my fingers and toes open the box to...

Fantastic food and extremely nice people. The sign on the building isn't quite up yet, so trust the GPS navigation and the signs on the road. The chicken quesadilla caught me by surprise with how AMAZING it is. The chicken is very generously portioned. The black beans and red onions really added a punch of flavor, and we enjoyed the chipotle aioli (which we got on the side.) The quesadilla was so good that I had to try some of the other menu items. The Reese's Peace shake was phenomenal, and I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken pesto panini. It had an entire chicken breast slathered in a very tasty, mild pesto on good ciabatta.

Do yourself a favor and stop here!! The food is delicious! I had the chicken noodle soup which was one of the best soups I’ve had! (the noodles were made fresh this morning!) The chicken tacos for taco Tuesday were fantastic. They grilled cheese and onions mixed in. They also came with green chili cheese rice and wow!! Perfectly cooked rice with a little spicy kick. The chicken pesto panini was a great classic sandwich. The chicken was juicy, the bread was crusty on the outside and soft of the inside. Great place to stop for a break on your way up the mountains!
