THE WORST SUSHI PLACE IVE EVER BEEN TO! We ordered a cali roll, shrimp tempura roll, rainbow roll, and miso soup. It was the most expensive sushi I have ever had and it was the nastiest un-fresh p.o.s sushi I've ever had. All our crab meat was imitation crab meat and wasn't even prepared it was still the cube of fake crab meat you buy at the asian markets and they just stuck them in our rolls. I have been to several sushi places that are way more reasonable in price AND they have REAL, not imitation, fresh fish, crab, shrimp, etc. For a place that is rated freshest sushi by san diego times and several food critiques, my boyfriend and I were more than disappointed but disgusted in how gross this restaurants sushi was. B.t.w. most nice sushi places give and appetizer roll or edamame but this place instead charges you 3.50 just for edamame. would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. There are much...

Amazing Sushi, but the staff will make you're dining experience worthwhile. If there's a seat at the bar, then I would highly suggest taking it for the full dining experience. They don't have a cocktail menu, so either you're pairing your meal with sake, beer and or wine. As for the sake we went with the bottle of junmai (cold sake) and chased it with Asahi Black. For the appetizers we went with the chicken (tatsutaage) which was cooked to perfection. Also, the mixed shrimp and vegetable tempura which was also delicious and very generous on the portion size. As for the nigiri, which stole the show for me, I would highly reccommend the ONO (wahoo) which is not found often on many menus, kanpachi (amberjack), unagi (freshwater eel), Hamachi (yellowtail) and Uni (they mainly get from Santa Barbara). I rarely come to north county, but I'll be coming more often now that I've discovered this wonderful...

Love this place. The fish is so fresh. They have some great hot food as well, but the majority of what I get is the raw fish, sashimi or sushi. It's not a roll-factory like most of the places in San Diego. (Those places are setting a weird expectation in terms of what authentic sushi or Japanese food is really like.) You won't find cream cheese and 15-ingredient rolls here. They have really fresh fish flown in from Japan or based on seasonal availability. This place is for people who are willing to try new things and are open to a changing menu. If you are looking for the standard Dragon roll special at half price, I don't think you'll be happy at this place. It's a small place, and every item is made with care so while it does not take long, you will have to have more patience than the fast-roll production lines of other places that you...

I’m not usually one for leaving reviews but this place didn’t disappoint. We had a hankering for sushi in the afternoon, on a Saturday, during labor day weekend. We showed up at 5:15 with no reservations and hope in our hearts for a table, and the restaurant was already pretty much booked out for the night, with a space outside for us. In spite of the heat and humidity, we had an amazing time. The food was fantastic, the quality of the sushi for the price was perfect and the beer was nice and cold. Our waiter was super accommodating to my partner’s allergies, and gave us some phenomenal recommendations. We’ll definitely be back soon for the omakase option! If you’re considering eating here make sure to try and book a table, you won’t be disappointed!

My new favorite sushi place in North County. A must visit. We called ahead in the morning and left a voice mail for reservations. Received a call back by a very friendly person and they had room for us at the sushi bar. If you go here sit at the sushi bar and make sure you call ahead they were busy. We absolutely loved the environment, staff, service, and of course the fresh sushi. We ordered omakase (sushi chef's choice) and everything, I mean everything was amazing!! Go here you will not be disappointed. Pro tip, they do run out of sushi (goes to show how busy they are) so for the most variety you may want to go earlier rather than later.
