Super Donuts #2 — Restaurant in Encinitas

I couldn’t believe the level of service I received at this donut shop. I was on the way to a meeting and dying for some coffee and a little snack. I was actually dizzy because I hadn’t eaten in 24 hours and quickly googled a donut shop because I was so hungry. I walked in and saw a cash only sign and devastated because I knew I had no cash. The woman was so sweet and said it’s okay you can pay me later ??? I was so in shock and she served me the most delicious coffee and jalapeño croissant. I almost hesitated to post this because I don’t want anyone walking in thinking they’ll get something free (or take advantage) but I was so profoundly touched by her generosity (of course I returned and paid). Who knew an $8 coffee and croissant would be so meaningful but I was literally so touched by that and thought about it all day. I will say they have a customer for life after that! I’m only five minutes away so will make sure to get my morning coffee from them as much as possible. Amazing food and service 10/10. My new favorite donut shop and I will brag to everyone I know about their jalapeño ham and cheese croissants! The coffee is better than Starbucks and the croissant is the best I have ever had! WOW! I do not write reviews, but this donut shop was so amazing I had to write my experience! The owner of the shop was so sweet, and the donuts are totally delicious. I bought a custard filled chocolate bar, a custard filled maple bar, an apple fritter, a glazed donut, and an old fashioned donut from Super Donuts this morning for my family and I. The shop is dirty to the point of disgust. Garbage piled on the counters. Spills ans stains on the counter and floors. The clerk was not present when I walked in, which is understandable. But then when she appeared she was talking on the phone and was distracted with her own conversation making the ordering and payment process unnecessarily confusing.
