Spinnaker Cafe — Restaurant in Englewood

This place is always amazing 👏. Stagg is very friendly and thorough and food is always good. They offer affordable menu items that are always freshly cooked. Many of their specialty items like their fruit cup, chili, cottage cheese, assorted butters are always very fresh and you never have any issues with them being old or seeming as if they were prepared the day before. We ordered carry out today and the order was spot on. The waitress got everything right and gave us plenty of jelly, syrup, napkins etc. My husband and I have eaten in there as well and it's never been disappointing he loves their burger and its always cooked perfectly medium for him. I got the Rachel sandwich a twist on a rueben, I am usually not a big fan of rye bread, but the sandwich was awesome. They also have a dessert case when you walk in and they have some really tasty selections, we have gotten nutella stuffed cookies and canolis and all sorts of things, those also never disappointed us. They are only open from 6 AM to 3 PM when they are open is the only thing that bums me out ! I wish they has longer hours since we work we only have the weekend to order out on Saturday. Overall a very good hole in the wall local place...

Went twice. Around lunch time. The first time the waiter seemed irritated and annoyed/impatient from the get go. Thought it was just a bad day, so we gave it another try. The second time the service was the same, our waitress (a different person than the first time) just seemed annoyed to be there. Decided not to come back again because of the general attitude. Doesn’t make for a pleasant dining experience when the person serving you isn’t even happy to be there. Although if you don’t mind an attitude, the food was good each time and the prices were fair as well.

I highly enjoyed the food. The person I went to eat with said the first time we came that their pancakes tasted as if the cooktop hadn’t been cleaned off, there was a slight extra flavor to it. Just wish the wait staff had been a bit more pleasant because I definitely would of returned! The food was delicious in my opinion. Don’t want to be around negativity when I’m out to what is supposed to be a nice meal though, and I don’t feel like trying to find out a third time if someone is going to act miserable or not. I understand waiting is hard, tiring work. However I haven’t gotten this projection elsewhere before let alone more than...

Been to Spinnaker Café several times and usually had a great experience, this time Jan 2014 was different. we were a party of 3 and decided to eat at the bar. Our order was promptly given to the cooks who work at lightning speed our eggs and omelet potatoes etc. were done in a couple of minutes here is where it gets ugly. All of the wait staff are the finishers, they butter the toast they put the biscuits in the microwave and put the gravy over top. So the same people that take your order bring your drinks, take money are touching your food as well making the entire operation extremely unsanitary. Our 3 plates sat there for a good 10 minutes before our "finisher/waitress" came by to do the toast and biscuits giving it another 3 minutes to get really nice and cold. The Ham and Cheese omelet was salty deli ham very flat not fluffy at all. Towards the end of our meal the place was getting very busy so there was a huge line of almost finished plates getting cold waiting for their finisher at least 8 - 10 lonely plates. Bon Apetite!!!!

PS Our complaints fell on deaf ears they didn't want to hear about it and...
