Only because I have to give a star to post a review-
This Bojangles is normally about 3 stars in my book, my wife and I are local and we stop here from time to time ONLY because it's close and we've had horrible experiences with KFC in Erwin, TN.
Tonight, Bojangles closed at 10pm, but we arrived at the drive thru at 9:45pm. I placed my order- or tried to- as the 'Manager' kept rudely cutting me off. -"Um, sir, we dont have any more sweet tea-' -"Um, sir WHAT SIDES DO YOU WANT?!" - There's more.. I SPECIFICALLY asked for them to drop our fries and cajun filets FRESH and we would wait for hot food. Had no problem waiting- had the food actually been hot like I specifically asked. My entire order was 2 cajun fillet sandwiches, 2 large seasoned fries, and 2 large Sweet Tea's which I had to substitute for Pepsi.
I get to the window and the female manager tells me the total, and -with that same rude attitude- flings her hand out to take my card.
When she handed my card back, my wife asked for a receipt and she rudely said, "WHAT?!" So I repeated the question and she said with another attitude, "it'll be in the bag. Just pull up and it'll be out in a minute." She handed me my drinks and I pulled forward. She gave us no straws so I had to wait to see if they'd come in the bag. We waited until 10:05 for our food- a short wait was expected as I stated. When she finally came out, she walked out of the front end of the store then meandered through the parking lot with our order. She didn't just hand me my food, she held the bag by the corner like it was something disgusting and nearly dropped it when I went to reach for it. She walked away immediately before I had time to check my bag. There weren't straws in the bag, but she had already walked away and they already locked the doors before I could say anything. I decided to head home as my 5 month old was having a fit -Which is about a 6 minute drive. Halfway there, my wife opened the bag to reach for a fry and noticed there were absolutely no season on the fries, they were cold, soggy, stale, and they didn't even fill the "large" fry cup. There might have been enough fries to fill a small order. When we got home, we went straight inside- 5 month old, food and all. We tried to sit down to eat what we had hoped would be a decent meal for $17.74. That's when we found out the chicken was hard and cold, and the fries weren't worth eating. This entire visit pissed us both off to no end, and was the 'service' was completely RIDICULOUS. I have never been so irritated with a restaurant. And to top it off, the 'Manager' gave us a mouthy, spiteful, rude attitude the entire time we were there. From the minute she started talking over the intercom, to the time she strutted away from our car.
Of course they wouldn't answer their phone either..
This is UNACCEPTABLE and I look to get my money back for this and NEVER waste my time or money on Bojangles here in Erwin again.
Absolutely...
Read moreWhen I entered the restaurant on my lunch break, there was one customer at the counter placing an order. I went to wash my hands in the restroom & approached the counter to order. The young girl working said, "I feel like it's really hot in here. Is it hot in here?" She then felt her forehead & asked for my order. I hesitantly ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. I was told to wait while she checked to see if they had any grilled chicken. She turned around & yelled back to ask about the chicken & was informed they did have it. I paid for my order & as there was no one else in line, I waited there for my order. There was one employee frantically making sandwiches while 3 stood around her asking if their food for orders was ready. I watched her make my sandwich, bag it & set it to the side. One of the employees asking her for food saw a Cajun filet biscuit sitting off to the side on a wrapper but unwrapped. The employee picked it up, completed wrapping it & told her, "nevermind, I'll just use this one". I don't know why it was unwrapped or how long it had been sitting there. I was just glad it wasn't my order! In the meantime, the cashier was holding her stomach, explaining she didn't feel well & grabbed a Simply Orange juice out of the fridge, opened it & starting drinking it. The woman making sandwiches asked her what she was waiting on & she explained it was my grilled chicken sandwich. The woman making sandwiches looked confused so I piped up & told them it was in the bag on the counter right beside her arm & had been there for several minutes. I was handed the bag & left. Apparently the cashier's condition was not contagious - I waited a couple days to make sure I didn't get sick before completing this review. I was going to give the location 1 star, but the grilled chicken sandwich was delicious & I didn't get sick so I decided on 2 stars. I would probably revisit this location, but not for a few months to allow new staff to come in - or wait until the current staff is not feverish &...
Read moreWith the price of everything thru the roof, the Bojangles in Erwin has the best prices on chicken. But with that said, the manager there.. (they didn't want to give up her name), but finally found out it is Karen. I have frequented this establishment often. But the manager and her employees are sub-par at best. EVERY time I order a family meal here, I always have to go back. Food missing, wrong food in the box, you name it. And this "Karen" always has an excuse! And whats with the lobby doors always locked?? Went by not long ago before work to get a biscuit at 0520. The hrs posted say, open 5am. Pull around to the window to see what the problem is and who else is standing in there but Karen. Knocked on the window , she looks right at me and turns and walks to the back.. I mean, really? Haha. When I finally caught another employee walking in I asked, hey, you care to have your manager come to the window? By now I'm almost running late for work. When she finally graced me with her presence I asked her why they are closed. She proceeded to tell me they were a person short and didn't have anything cooked. Come on, really.. the food is good when you can get it. If somebody from corporate reads this, for the love of God, get somebody in there that knows what they are doin. It's no wonder your employees lack knowledge of the job, because they are being trained by clowns!! You need management!! You can have the best food around and bad employees will run your...
