Union Street Taproom — Restaurant in Erwin

I went on a Saturday evening/night. There was 5 other people there, at the ‘peak’. No food (or food trucks), no music, no atmosphere to speak of. The bar tender was 10/10, cool dude. If it weren’t for him, I would have just turned around and left. Tired 3 beers and none were what I’d classify as excellent, with the third being a “Raspberry Zero” that tasted like old fermented wine. It was 0/10. Bar and building itself was very nice and modern. Y'all, I was here to hike and maybe stop in for some drinks but this jewel of a true taproom is now one of my all-time favorites - the hospitality and great selection of IPAs along with the overwhelmingly welcoming atmosphere will keep me coming back. Michael, the owner, is a great dude and Hannah is an exceptional barkeep. Thank y'all for making my time in Erwin a blast. See y'all again soon - especially recommend this place for hikers...
