Mountain Mike's Pizza — Restaurant in Escalon

Mountain Mikes is a chain, so their menu is standardized and if you go to one Mountain Mikes, the food will taste pretty much the same as any other. That said, this Mountain Mikes seems to produce pizzas that don't swim in as much grease as others I've been to. Prices are higher than local competitors - a 14 inch Hawaiian is $30 with tax, while a 16 inch with the same toppings from D'Boni's is $26. M.M. does send a lot of coupons out- we get them monthly, but for a generic chain pizzeria, the prices are high.

The location is small, in a tiny strip mall along with Starbucks, so parking is grossly inadequate. They are also literally across the street from the High School, so going there at lunch during a school day is a very, very bad idea. We've tried their delivery service once- well before any sort of busy time (it was around 3pm on a Tuesday)- and it took well over an hour. Pickup orders are claimed to be in 20 minutes, but expect closer to 30 minutes from our experience.

Overall, it's a chain pizza joint, so if you like Mountain Mikes, it is a safe bet; but Escalon has better choices for...

I placed an order online for delivery at 6pm. At 6:27pm I called and asked where my order was, the man I spoke to said it should arrive any minute. After another 15min and still no pizza I called back and said my pizza still hasn’t arrived the man i spoke to did give excuses however he said he place a note in the computer for my next large pizza to be free. My order finally arrived about 5min later. Unfortunately as I was eating my favorite spicy Himalayan pizza I noticed it wasn’t spicy at all, they didn’t put a single jalapeño on the entire pizza!!!! I was very disappointed. I Definitely do not recommend this...

Pizza was OK there are better pizza places in this town like pizza plus and D boni’s pizza. I knew this when ordering pizza. I wanted Mountain Mike’s because of delivery. After ordering I was told delivery would be an hour and a half but takeout would be 25 minutes so I decided to do takeout. When arriving to the restaurant I saw the delivery car parked So when I picked up my pizza I asked why so long for delivery. I was told because the delivery driver had to do dishes first, not deliver pizza. I guess customers can wait. I should’ve went to Pizza plus or D boni’s....
