Stopped in on Sunday October 13 at about 12:30. Drove from Grand Rapids through the UP heading to Milwaukee. The bartender said they wouldn't be serving food for about another hour. Met some friends about 1:00 and it was a downhill disaster from there. Not sure if she is normally all over the place like that, but the drinks (sodas and waters for all 4 adults and 4 kids) came out in about 3 waves that spanned 20 minutes. When she finally figured out the drinks and we ordered food, it took almost another 35 minutes to get our food and it was colder than a polar bear in the Arctic. 2 orders of the tatchos came about 20 minutes after all the food was consumed, and it tasted like those had been sitting on the counter and waiting since June. Then, back to the wonderful bartender again who charged my meal and my wife's meal to the party of 6 and their bill to us. 3 trips back and forth to our table for our credit cards again and it was finally straightened out. Hope to see that money back by next June. If you get a chance to try this place, go ahead and pass and go to a fast food chain...
Read moreIf I could give this place 0 stars I would. There was no description on what their “happy hour” entailed so I called and asked. The person who answered the phone was INCREDIBLY rude and told us that’s it’s 50 cents off a drink. I would hardly call that happy hour (that’s probably why it wasn’t listed anywhere on the website). Also on the website there were 0 drink prices anywhere so we called again to ask and were very polite. I simply asked: “can I know the price range of the fishbowls please?” Their response: “we never list the prices on the website!” So I said: “okay, do we need to come in to see prices?” To which their response (RUDE AGAIN) was: “you just called a while ago about happy hour, so HOW CAN I HELP YOU?” I feel like I laid out what I wanted help with and was polite and curious over the phone. The fact that they were so rude about us just having a question while visiting from out of town led us to not even want to go to the place and we didn’t. So they lost business. I would not recommend it to anyone visiting. I was appalled at the way we...
Read moreI get food at Cat's frequently because, well, I've simply never been disappointed with their fare. This evening I tried their Po' Boy sandwich. It's a new addition to their menu. I am extremely finicky when it comes to seafood and RARELY ever order it, preferring to cook it myself. Cat's Po' Boy, however, was spot on delicious! The fish was cooked just right, light with a crispy crunch. The remoulade was a wonderful taste sensation that rounded out the complete sandwich. Coupled with the Parm crusted chips it was a delightful meal I am looking forward to having again. Do yourself a favor and give Cat's a try next time you are hankering for a tasteful experience...
