Blake's Lotaburger — Restaurant in Espanola

When this place gets busy, it gets busy...and a bit stressful. Management doesn't seem to be able to get it in check when it does. It's like the equivalent to snow sticking to the roads in Española, everyone gets lost and forgets how to do anything.

Aside from that, the food is great! Can't go wrong when you're looking for good food on the go. Their drinks are mixed with just the right combination of carbonation and syrup, which is a plus because no one wants to drink alkaseltzer that was supposed to be an ice cold Pepsi.

The seasoned fries are on point! They seem double fried keeping them crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside.

Onion rings fill the air nicely when they're ordered and freshly out of the fryer.

Their burgers are great! Let's face it, you didn't go there for the healthy part of it. It has the right amount of grease to make the patties nice. Add some cheese on top of it with some Hatch green chile...mmmmmmmmm!

And the green chile...OH BABY is that green chile just amazing! Nice and hot that it'll blow out your O-ring if you eat it doubled up, but so flavorful and tasty that you just don't care if it does or not.

All in all, it's a pretty good place to hit up for after events with the kids or just killing time during your lunch break. Until it gets crowded.

Quick disclaimer this is only a review on the breakfast burritos and the morning service that lotaburger provides, The burritos there are amazing and if it's not too busy I like to stop by on my way to work and grab one then I'll be on my way. Very well prepared it seems like everything is mixed together and cooked on the stove top which is just a much better experience I believe when you're making a burrito having everything melded and mixed together just as the flavor. As well they actually season their burritos which may not sound like much but there are so many places that don't give a s* and give you the salt and pepper on the side and pretty much are asking you to open up the burrito that you got that supposed to be already in a handheld breakfast the light to salt and pepper it mix it together and then try to fold it back but you never fully back as good as you got it. They do seem a little slow on the uptake but I'm giving that to the fact that they're still relatively new and once again to the swing of things I think it's going to be a lot better. Overall when it comes to breakfast burritos this is a great place if you need to stop in the morning. If I ever do eat there for lunch or dinner or something I will add to...

My family and I came here after a three hour drive and it was about as terrible as it could be. They didn’t have the ingredients to make a vanilla or chocolate milkshake, and they managed to forget our chili con carne. Worst of all, we had already ordered and paid for two milkshakes when we were informed that they couldn’t make the chocolate one. We had also ordered a strawberry milkshake, which couldn’t be served because they didn’t have milkshake cups. We also had a soda, for which the machine barely had any of the sodas. After we asked for a refund for the milkshakes, they requested a receipt which they never even gave us.

After a lot of back and forth and confusion with rude and impolite employees, we got our food and one strawberry milkshake which was served in a different cup. We did not get our sauces though, leading to one of the employees behind the counter being visibly annoyed about having to get us our sauces. The chili ended up being horrible, with no flavor whatsoever and pure spice. The burgers were okay at best, alongside seasoned fries which were fine. The bathrooms were also terrible.
