Ken'z Cuisine — Restaurant in Espanola

OMG. This is supposed to be a quality experience? Let me note first that the server and busser were very nice. And the Italian soda was good. However, our overall experience was not good. Our appetizer came out 35 minutes after ordering it. We had potato skins with bacon and ranch. They were dry and bland as heck. $10. Then one person in our party bit a pebble in the appetizer. Our entrées came out and it was disappointing. The food in general wasn't flavorful and waaaay overpriced. They're charging $14 for a mediocre, not-seasoned burger. I can get the best burger on the planet at a local place in Burque for $11 (if you know the place I'm talking about you know. I don't want it to get it all gentrified so I won't mention the name)! We wanted to leave as soon as possible because all the waiting around was frustrating so when we finally gave the server our card, we waited another 10 to 15 minutes for her to bring it back. We went to find her and she said she forgot about us. She was very sweet but overall the experience was not good.

We were set back behind a wall next to the stairs. 25 minutes later the waitress appeared and apologized for not knowing we were there. The food was mediocre at best. The salads were missing the olives and peppers, leaving it as a limp bed of lettuce. The duck was to rare and the eggplant parmigiana was way to heavy breaded and sauced. The worse part of the evening was the guy walking around with a trumpet. He came to the table to sell his CD. He pulled two out of his pocket and placed one each by our plates. Awkward.
