Hardee's — Restaurant in Etna Township

Food was abysmal... The only good thing I had was the fries and the soda. Both burgers I ordered were so saturated with oil that the buns were soggy and inedible. The bun itself had the appearance of being dipped in a dirty bucket of water prior to being applied to my burger.. makes me sad I ordered two of these. Granted it was almost 2am but jeeze.. I was on the road for 7 hours at the time and only wanted something decent to eat.. not something I took a single bite of and threw away. I didn't even eat the 2nd one as it was exactly the same. What a waste of time and cash. The kid at the register was great but the lady in the back making food probably needs more training. I should've gone to McDonald's but it had been so long since I had Hardee's. I think I understand now why they're non-existent in my area if this is how far they've declined. Sad really, I miss the burgers. The smells were just as I remembered them. I'd like to feel like I could go back but I won't waste another 30 bucks on food...

The food was good. In case anyone doesn't know Hardee's grills their burgers over an open flame, so they smell and taste like you grilled them in the back yard. The fries were even better than McDonald's and White Castles. They were hot, fried to golden perfection, not too oily, and salted just right. The girl behind the counter gave me a 10% senior discount, and it didn't hurt anything that she was as cute as a button. This Hardee's is inside a truck stop so you may have to pay a little premium over a free-standing location. It's over a hundred miles from my house, but I travel this route frequently and have stopped there the last three times I went through there and undoubtedly will again. You can walk through the side door directly into the truck stop where you can get coffee the way you like it because they have different strengths starting with "house mild" and ranging up through the bolder brews. I also appreciated how they had real half and half for creaming...

Brand new Hardee's at the gas station/ truck stop. This is the second time I've visited location and the third time I've been to Hardee's in general. The very first time I've ever went was years ago and I can't remember if it was good or bad but I can at least say it did not leave a lasting impression on me.

However, My last two visits at this local Hardee's have been amazing. First off they are open 24 hours which is unlike very many places now post covid. Secondly, they have a somewhat wide selection for a place I thought was mainly hamburgers. Third, everything I have ordered has been great including what my employee that rides with me has ordered. The fries have a great taste to them and it is unlike any other fast food place I've been to. The burgers are juicy and very well made and they use high quality buns. The breakfast that we had was also amazing and they had a great twist to some breakfast sandwiches.

I will definitely be back and bring friends...
