Cupz Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Eugene

I really used to love this place! Sweet owner and awesome, properly made iced lavender lattés and Americanos but this morning was such a disappoinment! Moved out of town a while ago but stopped here for coffee amidst this fire chaos on my way to work for old time sake. And now I regret it.

The blonde barista, who used to chat me up about her boxer and spoil my boxer pup when we'd show up acted today like I, among other customers, were an inconvenience. I barely got a greeting, and she yelled from the back of the shop asking me what I would like. I ordered and as I was waiting, she turned to the other customer on the other side, rolled her eyes and over the coffee grinder I heard her complaint: "Yeah, guess I'm getting all the Dutch Bros customers today because their power is off..."

There were no normal pleasantries. I handed her my card to pay and she handed my coffee to me with no words, not even telling me how much it was. She turned her back and left me sitting there, thinking I had to wait for something else. I waited a few minutes then asked awkwardly, "Is that it?!" She said "yep" without looking over and left me to drive away perplexed and wishing I hadn't stopped by there because of how uncomfortable it felt.

My barely iced drink was mediocre today but the service tasted way worse. It didn't used to be this way! Coffee was stellar. Service was awesome. I never had a bad drink or interaction at Cupz til today and frankly, it really bummed me out.

For the record, I don't go to Dutch Bros and never have. I used to be in the coffee business. I know good coffee, which is why I went to Cupz to get their quality drinks and friendly service. Sadly, this was not the case today and I'm not sure I'll ever go back after this...

this is the ONLY coffee shop i will go to! ive been going here for quite some time and hands down the best coffee! ive tried MANY places around eugene/springfield and this place has the best coffee!! my usuals are either the Espresso Milkshake with salted caramel or just plain and the Iced vanilla latte with extra vanilla and coffee cubes (so nice they have coffee cubes so your drinks arent watered down)! all the staff are always so inviting and nice! since i go so often they usually remember my order and always slip my dogs some treats :) if youre wanting to try i 100% recommend the espresso milkshake ive made a few of my friends try it and now theyre hooked too! so glad i found an amazing spot that happens to also be a...

I saw they had good reviews and it's farther than other places but I wanted to try something new. My dog Maya and I went and she got treats which makes me a happy customer already, they were also super nice and she explained everything they had from cold brew, milkshakes, energy drinks with flavors and more. They even had dark chocolate and no one ever seems to have real dark chocolate! I ended up getting a dark chocolate espresso shake with extra shots and it was Dank! Thank you for the wonderful coffee and service! Will definitely bring my wife back to try a coconut...
