Szechuan Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Eugene

Since Kowloons and Lok Yaun have drastically gone down hill and are horrible, we have been trying new places to find our favorite old dishes. Well first off, if you grew up or lived in areas of Oregon that is south of Eugene you know what Pink shrimp sauce is. Some places in Eugene have pink shrimp sauce but this place did not, so right there they lose a star. They never offered Tea, another star down. Now the other let down, the Mar Far chicken was a different version then the original Mar Far chicken developed in Medford Oregon, that is so popular through out Oregon. I did not like it but my husband did it eat it all. The Pork fried rice had NO pork, peas or carrot pieces. The Pork spare ribs were cooked in a brown sugar sauce that I was not wanting, I wanted the sweet and sour, but it still tasted OK. The chicken subgum was OK. Their version of egg flower soup tasted good but lacked little chicken pieces. Plus side the BBQ Pork is the old style and not that new nasty stuff other places has changed to like Golden Orient and above mentioned places. The shrimp is still the old tempura style which was good but with NO pink sauce they are bland. Large portions, we only ordered one plate for the two of us, as we did not know what to expect, I had a small plate full, my husband ate alot and we still had left overs to take home. It was without a doubt the worst disgusting most dirty place I have ever seen food been served. I wouldn't even know how to explain the filth inside that place! I only stop there because it was on my way home that night and I have eaten there many many many years ago obviously I remember the food being good. I definitely would've remembered it looking like it looks now. Not only would it be shut down in a heartbeat if anybody walked into that place doing any kind of an inspection for the health authorities of Lane county. But it's been made into a basically poker machine room right in the middle of downtown Eugene's homeless and it is disgusting. Now to the normal stuff I asked for a lot of hot mustard and sauces I received a small tub of hot mustard and one soy sauce and get this my fortune cookie didn't even have a fortune in it and I can't tell you how stale it was. I can honestly tell you I was not able to eat that food when I can't believe a place like that is open and serving anybody who is out there ordering online because you've never been there please I'm telling you it's not a good idea I wouldn't serve my dogs out for their floor let alone...

After years of ordering from here I never will again. It took TWI hours for our food to be delivered, we live less than 2 miles away. We always order delivery just because the one-time I attempted take-out was a disaster. After an hour and a half I called and the girl was utterly confused about my even placing an order ON THEIR WEBSITE, asked me for my order number and everything. Then she proceeded to LIE that she thinks it is out for delivery and to just have patience. Miraculously our food arrived about 40 minutes later, some fresh...some obviously reheated and just gross. When I tried to call back to demand a refund of at least my generous driver tip and the inedible food, they were closed. And yes I wanted to tip back, it's the same girl who lied to me...
