2022 - I'm a broth guy, a sauce guy. Poco Loco's birria broth is ridiculously tasty. I mean, it sort of breaks your brain for a moment with every sip, it is so incredibly tasty. The Loco sauce is also quite delicious, complex and worth ordering every single time. Admittedly, I almost never get to use them as condiments, because I end up drinking it all. The green sauce, red sauce, salsa, and chile paste are also homemade and fantastic.
Usually we get the stuffed mushrooms and a Loco Pork Plate (we request lean meat), but we have been really enjoying the queso-birria tacos. They're stupid good. Babbling nonsensically, maybe even flirting with tears-of-joy good. They come with birria broth for drinking, er... I mean dipping.
I was informed that they will be updating the menu soon, and I can't wait to taste what happens.
Please go and get some love from Poco Loco. They are a very welcoming family that takes pride in their recipes. We crave their wonderful, comforting food. I really hope you enjoy it as...
Read moreThis from a food truck! YUM! Had the Carnitas plate & Birria plate...you can just tell they use excellent quality meats & professional practices combined with mama's recipes/methods (prepping up dried chilies for a dish while I was waiting)...the plates came with warm tortillas, killer salsa & excellent black beans.... & uhmmm rice, poor overlooked rice as a side & which tasted fine but was overcooked a bit, truly the only negative thing I could say about the place, but everyplace serving this kind food could use a better rice side...everyone in this restaurant segment ends up with overcooked & mushy rice, or dry it seems. Regardless, I'm definitely going back to this place...fear not the rice! This was also the most authentic looking Carnitas I've seen around...
Read moreOMG! The best Mexican food we've had since we moved up here 7 years ago. The crispy tacos I thought at first were a bit pricey at $7 for 3 rolled tacos until I bit into them. Not only extremely filling, the flavors explode with every bite. Absolutely worth $7. The mushroom poppers are so rich and luscious, I dipped them into some homemade Ranch dressing I had at home and it really took them to a level that they are my new go too! The Birria plate had a beautiful big hunk of beef, the black beans and rice had excellent flavor. Same with the Pork Carnitas plate. We just discovered this food cart and so excited to try everything. So far every item we have had is above and...
