the hideaway bakery is exactly what it first caims to be, a hideaway. after you spend thirty minutes trying to find it because there sign is super small hard to read and doesn't point anywhere. if your lucky enough to get there when they are not busy you might be able to pull into their parking lot and find somewhere to park. theres very few spaces for such a busy place, i was not able to find one or even pull into the driveway area so i had to park a few blocks away. when entering the scene it wasnt bad the outdoor seating looked classy they even have a sandbox for kids to play in which is a cool feature. but then to order you enter the tiniest space possible to file in and order the music is incredibly loud and the selection was not great. i waited 30 minutes for it to be my turn only to be told the pastry i wanted that was in the case was spoken for.whatever chose something else. im a barista and ordered a coffee but the barista/ cashier didnt seem to have any clue about espresso and had no idea what i was talking about so i had tp walk her through how to make my breve cafe au lait con panna. ( which is a drip brew coffee with steamed half and half and whipped cream)s so long story short the pastry was to my taste overly salted and otherwise flavorless and the coffee was burt and over steamed. the one and single reason i gave them a three is because my friend brought me something from there previous to this experience and it tasted wonderful it was a cinnamon roll but their version of it which is so different and amazing. this is what i saw in the case that i wanted first but was spoken for. anyways i may have just gone on a bad day or something but unless you have alot of time to waste for possible mediocre bakery items that could have been better bought from albertsons. ide...

Read moreI really liked this place at first which is why i didn't want to give one star but I don't think I will be returning. I had a very unpleasant experience where I felt unsafe and when I told the worker at the counter I was shut down completely. I walked in to order and a lady in line was talking to herself for a while. I was behind her in line and got on my phone, she jumped around at me and asked "did you see that?" She started leaning in towards me and pointing in different directions, then said it was my phone that was making her see things and that she couldn't be around them. She told me to get in front of her and then proceeded to lean into my ear and get closer to me, saying weird, incomprehensible things and how she can't be around cell phones. I was struggling to create space between us as she was not listening to me tell her to please step away, I was getting extremely anxious because she was invading my personal space and obviously having a mental episode. Once I got to the counter I quietly told the girl who was helping me (short brown curly hair) that this lady was unwell and making me very uncomfortable, she then without asking what happened told me that she just has mental issues and I "need to be mindful of others". It felt super rude and invalidating considering this triggered my anxiety greatly (also a mental health issue btw) and I felt unsafe in the establishment. I then went and sat outside to wait for my order, meanwhile this same lady was walking around and shouting when people pulled out a phone near her, asking them to put it away. I'm shocked that this type of behavior is tolerated and that she was not at least confronted about harassing other customers. Mental health issues are not an excuse to make others feel...
