I was waiting to post this review because I wanted to give Subway a chance to respond to my issue. That night, I spoke very briefly with the district manager who happened to be on site, but she wanted me to stay and ‘talk through it’ when I was already 30 minutes late. I also knew I was too angry to talk through anything calmly so I left and submitted it online later that evening instead. I haven't heard a word back so here we are.
I ordered 45 minutes before my scheduled pick-up time. There were four sandwiches and a pan cookie, and I didn’t want them to feel rushed. I pre-tipped 20% as I normally do so this was nearly $70 total. When I arrived at my pick-up time, my order hadn’t even been STARTED – let alone actually ready. I sat there for another 30 minutes while they made my sandwiches. During that time, five (5!) people ordered their food, paid, and left so this wasn’t about lack of staffing. There was no apology when I arrived; no “we had a large order; we’re running behind but will get it together for you ASAP; here’s a coupon for next time” – nothing. No acknowledgement at all until I came back in to ask for my receipt since I didn't get it in the bag when it was finally handed to me. THEN, the district manager (as she identified herself) asked me to "wait a few moments" while she got it for me. I had three cold sandwiches and one hot one. They apparently made the hot one first because it was not even lukewarm by the time we finally ate – which was 15 minutes after I picked up the sandwiches. They also put that hot sandwich and the hot pan cookie, in the bag with the three cold sandwiches. The lack of basic science was astounding. Upon opening our sandwiches, we found that two of the three that were supposed to have double meat on them didn’t. We paid for double on three – only the chicken teriyaki had double. The club and the cold cut combo did not. Between missing items we had paid for, cold sandwiches that were partially warmed from the cookie, a hot sandwich that was scarcely lukewarm, and ordering 45 minutes in advance only to wait an extra 30 minutes while I watched five other customers come and go, and the feeble attempt to resolve while I was there, it's extremely clear that basic customer service is not important.
What gets me the most is that this isn't the first time something like this has happened. The first time was approximately six months ago - very late food, missing items, but I let it be because there were only two young people working on an extremely busy evening. They were clearly overwhelmed and unsupported by their management. They also both apologized. They knew they were behind and were trying their best. While obviously frustrated, I could see it wasn't on them so I never pursued any kind of refund.
But this one? There were four people PLUS the district manager. They had more than enough time and staffing to handle my order correctly and ample opportunity to get me to give them another chance.
It's disappointing. We live five minutes from this location, and my family loves Subway food. But I guess when basic customer service isn't a priority in running a location, customers move on and seek out...
Read moreMy daughter and I went in to order, there was a new girl in training it appeared. She was on line alone, when I asked about the new sliders sub, she got someone to come up with her. He maybe was a manager or shift leader either way he was very arrogant and rude. When placing the order, I asked if I can't mix and match, to which he was very snippy and snide saying they come up to the total price of the combo so you get this or that. Then after I order he grabs all this stuff gives to the girls to make it and I never once stated I wanted veggie of just any order, he retorts you don't get a say on this you get it exactly how it is made and describe on the menu. Now 1. I asked questions and never received direct answers but more attuide and sarcasm. 2. I went there to order food my way, not be told how I'm having it. 3. There was absolutely no ice what so ever in the soda machine and there were fruit flies or something in the tea dispensor, absolute and totally mess on, near, around the soda area. It was extremely warming the whole building. To say the less I believe I personally will not be back to this Subway ever again. In therapy that store needs to be put in serious check maybe starting with management and work your way down the list , putting less people rude and arrogant people running the store.im very...
Read moreI will post this as kindly as I can. I have never in my life been made to feel like I was such an inconvenience as I experienced tonight. I had a coupon for 2 sandwiches. I asked for the first sandwich and it was not honored because it was too new. Ok I can understand that. Some had him make me a similar sandwich that was honored. When he put the steak on I couldn't see that or the cheese selection because of frosted glass. The sandwich was skimpy as I have ever seen. The weight of said sandwich was 12.7 ounces. The average footling weighs between 1 to 1 1/2 pounds. 16 ounces in a pound? Do the math. Skimpy as all hell. Asked for parmesean cheese. He used so little I couldn't even see it coming out of the shaker. The second sandwich my main gripe was I asked for olives and they were out. No olives anywhere. It was an hour and a half before closing and you're telling me you have no more olives any where? I was never asked about any sauces or other spices. Very impersonal bland and the most careless attitude I have ever experienced. Simply terrible. Other subways have been great. But this one was horrible on this night. With this employee working. Will...
