DAYNIGHT DONUTS. — Restaurant in Eugene

OK. Now, I must say, I'm a big sucker for this store. I can't help it, when I ride by, it smells sooooo good, I find myself tossing any plans or thoughts of being on time, and no matter wat I try, or how hard I fight the urge, in a blink, I'm at their counter, staring in wonder at all the donuts, like a kid in a candy store, my brain overloaded with so many different choices. Always fresh, n soft, I can't complain. Tons of parking and Biscuits and gravy 24/7... lots of gravy, a big plus in my book. I guess I'm kinda bias, and fail to see any thing to complain about. Easy access off Hwy 99. Very quick service, also a plus, because every minute helps, ...me not be so late, but if I am....well, fresh donuts given, becomes a very good excuse for such irresponsible behavior. Especially if your attentive enough to remember ur bosses favorite flavor... .. all of this said, has given Daylight Donuts a five star plus review. Pat urself on the back for not getting fired, n grab a fresh donut...u deserve it....have fun, n be blessed. Update to my past post....upon returning for biscuits and gravy, months later, I had a chance to speak to the best baker in my world. We estimate that over his 20 years baking, he has produced 1500 donuts a day every day for 20 years... with a rough estimate of 10,950,000 donuts made to date. That my friends, takes patience, dedication, tolerance, and loyalty. It shows strength in character, and talent, . . And is something to be proud of. I know few people who have shown such dedication and it is a great example to our youth and others, and honestly,.... it's a record to be proud of. Another record,...is how he has managed to stay fit and trim all these years with a mountain of donuts surrounding him. I'm pretty sure, I would have failed that one my first month. I think he deserves a public pat on the back. He has all my respect. The food is amazing as always a couple months ago they had overcharged me and I thought it happened they double charged me That happens not a huge deal. well I went back I got my money back today I went in and I had two different orders The first order they overcharged me by $5 and that was my son's order so I went back in there and I said hey you charged me for three extra donuts that I did not get so I got the refund and then I thought did they overcharge me too I got to looking at the prices and low and behold they overcharged me on my order as well they are stealing your money little tiny bits here and there if you shop here you need to make sure you calculate everything correctly because these people will steal it they don't even say sorry they just get caught and they move along and continue doing it to the next people. Not ok. At all you can't convince me that it happening to three times is a mistake. Look at your...

Good donuts. Why the 2 stars then? The donuts are a solid 4.5 stars. But you know that friendliness other reviewers mention? You only get that if you're white. The woman whom I dealt with both times appears to be south asian. It's always so disappointing when one minority is prejudiced against another.

The first time I visited, I was the only customer there. I chalked up the attitude to her having a bad day. We're all entitled to have a bad day. The donuts were good so I went back. This time, I was behind a white couple. The difference between how she treated them and how she treated me was stark. It apparently wasn't just a bad day the first time.

It's a shame, because the donuts are the best I've found in Eugene so far. But I believe in voting with my dollars, so I'll have to find another shop. If you're white, enjoy the donuts and customer service. You'll be...
