This is a solid sushi place. I think the early negative reviews have more to do with the difficulty training opening staff than whether or not you'd enjoy dining there currently It went from being the kinda place where your server said, "IDK I don't eat raw fish that's nasty" to the kinda place where they say, "would you like to get the LA Roll with Avocado inside again" and you're like I can't believe she remembered that. It's not cheap but what decent sushi is? The food is good, they have plenty of stuff for non-sushi eaters, add the stuff is really accommodating. Last time I ordered sake there and wondered out loud "what would this be like muddled with fresh fruit?" my server brought out fresh pineapple, mango, cherries, oranges, and literally every fruit plus a legit bartending pestle and was like "what do you want in it?" I never write reviews, but this place...
ย ย ย Read moreA friend and I arrived at 11:00 and ordered our food around 11:15. We recieved our appetizers in a decent amount of time, but waited nearly an hour for our 5 regular (no fried ingredients) sushi. We were never checked on after this order by any staff. We were not told this upon arrival either that they had issues in the kitchen. I went to the register and was informed that there was only 1 sushi chef there, who was cleaning a counter when I saw him. This usually would be a good enough explanation for me, but a couple who arrived after us had gotten their food, paid, and left before I went to ask for ours. So much wasted time. Normally the service and food are pretty average, but this was disappointing. Also, this restaurant is NOT infant friendly. There is no changing table in...
ย ย ย Read moreWe visited the one in Crowley first and liked it then waited for the Eunice location to open. We were not disappointed. We visited today (a Sunday around 11:30 am). The atmosphere is welcoming and casual with a simple and tasteful design. We were seated and served promptly. Alexis was our server. She was professional and friendly, checking on us frequently but not hovering, which we really appreciated. The food was piping hot when it was brought out. My husband ordered the steak hibachi. He thoroughly enjoyed the soup. I enjoyed his salad. ๐ I ordered the chicken fried rice. Both were very fresh and delicious. The large portions allowed us to bring home leftovers. I would highly recommend trying Tokyo Japan. We will definitely...
