I’m normally not the type to leave reviews, but I felt like I had to say something. For the first time in my 41 years—and after at least 25 years of eating Whataburger—I was truly disappointed. Our new Whataburger in Eunice, Louisiana has only been open for three days, and tonight, it was completely out of three different beverages, had no hamburger buns, and was out of medium-sized cups.
The cups weren’t a huge deal since they upgraded me to a large, but that didn’t help much when the drink I chose had no syrup left at the fountain. Honestly, I’ve never been let down like this by Whataburger.
Let’s be real—when a small town like Eunice gets a Whataburger, everyone is going to show up. The owners and management should have expected that the crowds wouldn’t stop after opening day, especially in the first couple of weeks. Saying they were “unprepared” is putting it lightly.
When I mentioned that there was no Dr Pepper or Barq’s Root Beer, the response I got was just, “Yeah, it’ll be here in a couple days.” Seriously? You couldn’t make a run to a local distributor to stock up? I wasn’t expecting five-star service, but come on!
To top it all off, when I placed my order, no one mentioned they were completely out of hamburger buns. Instead, all burgers were being served on Texas toast. The only thing I want from Whataburger on Texas toast is a patty melt—and I didn’t want that tonight. I ordered a double cheeseburger with mayo, mustard, and jalapeños… and guess what? No mayo on the burger either.
All I’m saying is this: if that’s how they plan on running things, they shouldn’t be running a Whataburger. I’ve eaten at Whataburgers all over Texas and Louisiana—from Galveston to Elton. Back when I worked offshore, I used to stop at them 24/7—Galveston, Webster, Kemah, all over the southern part of Greater Houston. I’ve had better service at 3 a.m. on my way to crew change than I did tonight.
Whataburger is one of the best burger joints out there. In my experience, the employees usually take pride in what they do, and at the very least, they tell you upfront if something is unavailable. That didn’t happen here.
So please, get it together. It’d be a real shame if the only Whataburger around ended up shutting down just because someone couldn’t keep it stocked.
Alright, I’m done with my rant.
OK, one detail I left out. They did have buns but only for the kids meal! 😂 Gotta give credit, where...
Read moreWent for breakfast and I’ve never been to Whataburger before so this was a new experience for me, what I received was completely different from my order and it looked like they smashed my food before serving, unless they make pancakes out of their breakfast sandwiches too. Then they forgot all of the drinks I ordered or never brought me the cup to make it myself. I’d rather go to Eunice McDonalds than to come back over here and that says a lot. If these are the type of workers that don’t care about their jobs and are representing whataburger, then I will never walk into another whataburger establishment again. Also, just because they are trainees is not an excuse because I have personally worked in fast food myself and it was extremely hard to mess it up. Any person with common sense will know to put eggs in a breakfast bowl that...
Read moreEunice Whataburger isn’t worth the money had breakfast there and they messed it up. My husband ordered a breakfast burger with apple slices on the side and I got the breakfast bowl with apples slices on the side. My husbands breakfast wasn’t everything he asked for a breakfast burger but received something different from the menu with nasty apple slices that had brown spots. My breakfast didn’t have eggs all I had was a biscuit, shredded cheese, a hash brown stick, and small bacon pieces not even a full piece of bacon. I had addressed the order problems and all I got was a large free drink. And we have a feeling it was done on purpose by an employee that had past...
