We visited El Campo Azul during a busy weekend and were seated quickly, which was a great start. The chips and salsa were absolutely amazing — probably my favorite part of the meal! We also ordered queso, which was the blanco style. I personally prefer when Mexican restaurants offer both yellow and white queso options, but this one was still tasty.
I ordered the asada torta (steak sandwich) without beans, and it was really good. The avocado was fresh and added great flavor. Everything we tried tasted fresh, and the staff was very friendly and attentive.
The parking lot is large and easy to access, which is a bonus. Next time, I think I’ll try the pineapple fajitas I saw recommended in other reviews — they sound delicious!

Read moreFinally, we don't have to drive 40+ miles for good Mexican food. They have a broad menu and we have not been dissappointed yet. The Portions are generous, the ingredients, fresh and the flavor is right-on-point. Price is fair as can be. Great Tex-Mex with obvious elements of authentic flair. The Steak El Campo was fabulous. Chili Relleno was plentiful and tasty. The Burrito Gigante' was LARGE and satisfying-Almost reminded me of the popular "Mission Burrito" with Meat, Rice, Beans, Avocado, lettuce and more..Etc... We are definately going to be...

The chips were stale and the salsa was too tomatoey, if that is a word. Our waiter was very nice though. They are still waiting for liquor licence, so we couldn't have a margarita. With time maybe they...
