I've eaten here once. The service was good and the food was good. They were open but, there was a since of anticipation to close. I get it, we've all been there and just ready to end the work day.
This most recent visit left a lot to be desired. I drive truck and I am very limited on times and places I can get food. I am quite amazed that there are 3 different fast food chains right next door to a truck stop and at least two of them close their doors at or before 10 (I am not sure at the time of writing this exactly what time Arby's closes).
A big disappointment is that I saw on Google Maps that this location was open until 11. I had to double and triple check because on my walk over, every single exterior light was off as if they were closed. It was right around 10:08 to 10:12 p.m. I continued walking to the location mainly because I saw a vehicle in the drive-thru and figured they were probably just busy and forgot to turn the lights on (it happens, people get busy). As I got closer I saw people inside and proceeded to a door, it was locked so I went around. The main door was also locked and, that is where I read the sign that states dining area closes at 10 p.m.
As someone who drives truck over the road there are times I may not get to shut down until 10 or later. There were still trucks piling into the truck stop. I don't have the option to go through the drive-thru like most other people since my mode of transportation is too large.
I highly recommend closing this location down and letting another business take over thar remains open for later hours or at the very least has a window for drivers. This place and their extreme desire to leave I highly that I would have been served. That being said, I did not try. Read moreI have had nothing but issues with every single burger king in the BlackHawk area. The first issue was when I went to the Evamsdale Burger King and I received a whopper that was not even cooked. When I called corporate they basically told me there is nothing they can do because that store runs independently. So I chose a different Burger King to go too when my kids specifically asked for it. That second time one of my kids didnt get their fries or drink. No big deal I just gave her my fries and a drink out of the fridge. We decided to go to a different Burger King in Waterloo yesterday and when I checked the bag, I was missing my fries, one of the kids fries, both the kids drinks were substituted to water because "they ran out of sprite" but didnt say anything until I called them back, and on top of it they charged me for 3 sauces and I didnt get a single one. When I called the store to see what the issue was, I was then told I needed to drive all the way back to get a refund. So I did just that and when I got there the manager told me he cant do anything about it and I need to call corporate. So I did and they offered me a $10 coupon on my next order. Needless to say I told them no i do not want their coupon nor do I plan on ever eating at Burger King again. I told them I would be making this review if nothing was done just so others can be warned that this place will take your money and not give you even close to what you ordered, then if you complain about it they start laughing about it like this happens all the time. Very very dissatisfied with how I've been treated as a paying customer on top of not getting my food half the time or getting something completely raw, just to be told $10 off...
Read moreLooking at my receipt, at 3:27pm on 9/12/24, I had the most awful experience from any Burger King. Approaching the counter to order, the front counter frizzy-haired girl was on her phone facing the opposite direction. I stood there for about 10 sec. to see if she’d turn around. She didn’t. That’s when I put my phone on the counter to get her attention. She casually turned around without saying anything. No apologies, no nothing. I gave my order and when the receipt came out, her head was totally looking down as if she was looking at her legs, her shoes or the floor and I just stood there, in awe. Wondering how the heck she even got hired. I didn’t take the receipt from her extended hand until she gave some sort of acknowledgment that I was a customer and that BY FAR IS NOT THE WAY TO TREAT ANY CUSTOMER. As I stood there waiting for her to acknowledge a customer standing there, she finally looked up and said THE MOST Asinine thing I’ve ever heard in the customer service industry.. she actually said “I didn’t see you”.
So, you’re holding a receipt in your extended hand for to take and you’re actually expecting anyone to believe that you don’t see them standing in front of you? It’s probably true SINCE YOU WOULDN’T give eye contact.
If the owner sees this review just know that I was going to forgo any type of review based on her initial BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. But, when she tried to insult my intelligence with her awful, awful lying and cavalier attitude as if to say “what are you going to do about it”.. I had to review your soon to be closed location.
