Lively sports bar atmosphere with TV’s in both the dining and bar area. A fun local watering hole type spot and hockey fans will definitely enjoy the decor. Perhaps not the best intimate quiet date night spot, unless perhaps it’s a first date and you want the distraction of a TV on every wall. Floors are cool and clean, But just a bit louder since floors aren’t carpeted. Locally owned and operated, you can see they take pride in their business, staff and dining experience. We enjoyed the all you can eat fish fry and will definitely be back. TIP for access- good legal ATV access. From the Highway 53, the frontage road can be a little tricky to see where to turn in the dark, so look for and turn by the Subway Restaurant.

Don't let the outside fool you into thinking the place isn't open. The inside was nice and clean and bright. Bar keeper was upbeat and quick to help. The cheeseburger came with some crispy, flavorful fries. The burger was not a hit,. It just didn't have anything special about it, and tasted a bit freezer burned. Not worth the 9.50 The chili was good with just the tiniest bit of heat. I had the upgraded size, which was not a huge serving. Does not come with crackers, but did include cheese, onions and sour cream.

Quiet atmosphere, in the dining area not the bar. Old school vibe the table and chairs, the walls, game machines and choice of music playing. Old historic photos, and memorabilia put up. Food was good but not great. The cheese sticks came out way overcooked they had to make a new batch. My favorite was the pizza, very good. Server was nice, food was very slow to be served from time of ordering.

Absolutely awful experience since the second we sat down. Had a reservation for 6pm and they seated someone else who they thought was us. No biggie, sat in the bar. it was NOT busy, maybe 6 tables in the place and 3 servers- perfectly doable. Placed our order and wanted boneless wings as our appetizer, and then placed our food order at the same time. ONE HOUR passes and my brother asks where our wings are. we were all catching up with each other so we were being patient, we are all servers ourselves. server says she’ll check. pretty sure they were never rang in as they were then out on 10 minutes, they tasted fine. asked for an extra ranch that never came. 20 minutes goes by and still no food, brother asks where it is, server said it is almost ready. another 15 minutes goes by, server says everything is ready except one thing. server was then taking shots with patrons at the bar rail. Tables that came in after us were done eating and we never even saw our food. I was looking at her and she made eye contact, went to kitchen for 5 minutes, comes out still with no food. We had enough at that point, brother tells her we’re leaving. we are then CHARGED for the soups and salads that COME with our meals that we NEVER RECEIVED. absolutely terrible experience and will not be returning, we all left starving and got mcdonalds, what a nice way to spend mother’s...

I would NOT recommend eating here after the horrible experience we had today. We did arrive in a big group just before noon and had a pleasant waitress that took out drink and food orders. Our food slowly came out over the next TWO HOURS!

The worst part was that many others that came in an hour to an hour and a half after us received their food before people in our group! Some of the food that came out two hours late was fried pickles, a salad, a club sandwich, kids meal burger among many other orders.

At one point the manager came out to find who hadn't received food yet. I ASSUMED it was for the purpose of adjusting the bill to compensate for the poor, slow service. The horrible experience would have been easier to swallow had there been an effort to adjust the bill, or even comp the affected patrons a round of drinks. This DID NOT HAPPEN!! Very POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and MANAGEMENT here! I've worked a large portion of my life in the food and beverage industry, and this would have been UNACCEPTABLE at ANY place I've previously worked! Do yourself a favor, and DON'T PATRONIZE THIS...

From the Rustic Rock, to Mike's version, to its current namesake, the Rink has proven itself to be a great place to hang out, grab a cold brew, watch a game on their several big-screen TV's, and enjoy the friendly service.

UPDATE: A coworker informed me of the Rink's serving breakfast, and so we found ourselves seated in the dining area this morning, another couple the only other folks there just after seven AM when we arrived.

Our waitress was friendly, courteous, and soon after we'd sat down, was bringing us a pot of coffee and a pair of cups.

I'd opted for their special, prime rib and eggs, hash browns and toast, while my associate opted for their stuffed hash browns. Both meals were hearty portions, and we both enjoyed our breakfasts - service was very good, and I'm always nostalgic in the Rink, with local hockey teams jerseys decorating the dining room, takes me back to my youth, playing hockey in Hoyt Lakes.

Worth the time and money for a good...
