Beware of a Employee at this Jack in the Box At the Approximate time 9:05am Sat March 5 2016 I was at the jack and the box at, 11820 Evergreen Way, Everett, WA 98204.
Here is what happend. I walked in and while I was ordering I was distracted by employee (male standing about 5'.6" and 300lbs) I believe his name was Jose. He was being extremely rude to another patron at the restaurant that was sitting by herself 1 min. prior when I walked in. From what I heard she was being polite and coordual when she responded to whatever the issue was.
Anyways, I got this sick feeling, I had know idea what she could have done and really didn't care, I lost my appetite and just wanted to leave at this point. I then asked for my money back and when I explained why i wanted to leave, it became an issue. Remember, I am at the counter they hadn't given me any food but I had paid for it. as I am explaining to another employee what I seen with the other customer, I just want to leave. Then Jose hearing my displeasure with his lack of people skills decided to practice his Neanderthal ways with me as he rolled up his sleeve and looked at me and said " I am not on the clock yet (as he was standing behind the counter) we can take it outside" basically, attempting to provoke a fight and walked outside and had 2 others by his side where he waited by 1 of 2 doors that customers would enter and leave by.
So do you think I felt threatened? Of course I did as any reasonable thinking person would. I come from a family of Marines, boxers and basically Texans so it comes natural to stick up for myself and not be bullied. With that said, after I got my refund I had to walk out to face the bully and his 2 friend's. Jose, just kept his mouth flapping and wouldn't stop. As I was walking off he was still verbally assaulting and threatening me! In retrospect, I keep coming to this. What would someone else do whom couldn't defend themselves? They would know doubt be in a awkward and dangerous situation and I deeply regret not calling the cops.
The bottom line here is this, I am a small business owner of a WA Corporation, I would hope that if one of my employees was acting as such that someone would immediately report him to the Police and his immediate supervisor to hopefully stop this guy from doing someone some real harm. With that said, I deeply regret not just calling the cops, so this doesn't happen to someone else before this guy is dealt with. Moreover, it is reasonable for me to believe he is a danger to others and a liability to the franchisee and the brand they promote.
Hopefully, putting this out there will encourage the management to act on this before something really bad does happen and to raise the question that a business owner should generally be concerned about. That it is common to be held personally liable for whatever happens after they have been made aware of the potential hazard and not taking reasonable measures to prevent it from happening again. It's now up to them, but for now be aware of the employee that stands about 5'6" and his weight I could only guess to be...
Read moreWent through the drive-thru at about 9:00 p.m. and there was nobody else there, I was the only one in the Drive-Thru and there was one other car parked out front. My order was messed up (gave me regular fries instead of curly fries and they were cold and ranch instead of Honey mustard) after I had to repeat my order 4-5 times and having the guy at the speaker confirm it back to me. Pulled out of the drive-thru, parked in front of the restaurant to check my bags because It seemed from just the ordering process itself that there was going to be a mistake (there was) and walked into the restaurant 2 minutes after they gave me my food. Just asking to exchange the fries and the sauce for the fries and sauce that I actually ordered and they told me no and that they were not going to do anything and that I had to leave. I've been to this Jack in the box three times in the last 2 years and every single time has been like this, awful service, wrong orders, and awful quality. Take the extra 5 to 10 minutes to drive to the Lynnwood location on 164th, they have always been fantastic. 0/10 for...
Read moreEmployees here clearly hate their job. They don’t smile, the way they talk isn’t welcoming and they don’t apologize when THEY make mistakes. Food is alright, but clearly rushed in being put together. Also, instead of handing me my card separately, they handed it to me with my straw, but the thing is, when you hold a card flat, you can barely see it when you look straight at it. I grabbed just the straw thinking that’s all I was being handed. NOPE. My car feel down to the ground and I had to meanuver my truck to be able to get out and grab it. Also, you are LEGALLY required me hand people their receipts for all transactions unless they specifically say otherwise.
Also, ever heard of hair nets? Any employee with long hair should be required to wear one. This is the second time at a jack in the box where I’ve seen hair in my order. Once at the Edmonds location and now at this one. Luckily this time it was only on the outside of drink cup, but still. It’s disgusting and...
