The manager is very mean.
I made a large carside to-go order: an appetizer, three adult meals, three kids meals, and three drinks. When I pulled into the carside to-go spot, a waitress brought out two bags. I asked if the drinks were in one of the bags. She said, “I don’t know, I didn’t put your order together.” I looked and there were no drinks. She asked what I ordered and then went back into the restaurant. While she was inside I checked to make sure the food was right and we were missing an adult meal (fiesta lime chicken.) When the waitress returned with my drinks I apologized profusely (despite it not being my fault at all) and told her that I was actually missing a meal as well. She asked what the meal was and went back inside. She came out a few minutes later and told me that my fiesta lime chicken was the second item from the bottom in one of the bags. I said, “no, I triple-checked and it’s not in there but you are more than welcome to check as well.” She started to take the bags from me when the manager walked up behind her with a bag in her hand and told me, “the fiesta lime chicken is the second item from the bottom in the first bag she handed you.” Immediately I’m thinking how bizarre this is, to have these people accusing me of lying when the order was never correct to begin with. I told her that I checked carefully and looked at every item in both bags and the fiesta lime chicken meal is not in either bag. I held the bags up to her and told her to check for herself, but she didn’t want to. She handed me the bag that she had brought out and said, “here’s another fiesta lime chicken, on the house.” At this point I’m starting to wonder if I’m being pranked or something. I told her, “This is not ANOTHER fiesta lime chicken. This is the one and only fiesta lime chicken I paid for. I’m just asking for the food that I ordered.” She said, “it’s fine. This one is on the house.” She refused to believe that they had gotten the order wrong, and I guess she was implying that I had somehow stolen the missing meal. I don’t know what she thought happened with the drinks that the waitress didn’t bring out and had to go back in to make.
By the time I got home with our Applebee’s dinner, it was cold and gross. Being treated the way I was by this manager means that we’ll never return to...
Read moreThis restaurant experience was pretty much a disaster.
We got a waitress who was complaining about no training, couldn't remember our order, didn't bring us napkins or silverware, and we had to get other servers to get our refills.
I ordered a hamburger medium. The burger was literally raw in the center. Of course I didn't find that out until I bit into it expecting to have a wonderful hamburger so I actually bit a quite a big bite. My wife and I were in the middle of a conversation and so I really didn't look down at my hamburger. I went to bite into it a second time and there was literally raw hamburger in the middle.
The manager on duty was notified and said he would bring me another hamburger. When he did finally bring me a hamburger, it was over-done and then forgot my fries.
My stomach by that time of course was very upset eating the raw hamburger.
The appetizer were chicken wings. The chicken wings were overcooked and the sauce was very thick so you received a large dollop of sauce rather than just a dip of it.
The fries never did show up until we were ready to leave. And so they put it in a bag. What am I supposed to do with cold fries?
I asked for the remainder of my soft drink to put in a to-go glass. It was put in one of those coffee type glasses, with a straw stuck in that flip up plastic lid. Luckily it didn't spill in the car ride home.
I was taking several Tums by the time I...
Read moreI usually try to give restaurant servers slack...they get very little appreciation but I have to say my experience tonight at this Applebee's had to be the worst. The temperatures in Missouri were over 100 degrees and when we walked into the restaurant the temperature had to be 85. It actually felt cool when we walked in but we soon realized it was uncomfortable. The wait staff were all wet and sweaty. We were seated, never given water, never acknowledged and it was nearly 15 minutes before we flagged down a waitress to let her know of our presence. Our server, Ashley, finally arrived and took our orders. It was another 20-30 minutes before we received our food. My sister's order looked dried out and not at all appetizing. In the 30 minutes or so that we ate, Ashley never once asked how our meal was, never once asked if we wanted refills, never once asked if we needed anything. She only came back to the table to ask if it was all one check and never asked if any of us wanted dessert. We attempted to pay by the card reader at table so we could just get the hell out of there quick. The card reader didn't work and Ashley seemed put off when we told her and she had to run the card. I honestly have to say I don't know how this place is still in business and actually gets decent reviews. As a previous reviewer stated...you're better off...
