HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🍻🍻🍻
Exeter Brewing Co in Exeter, NH for a flight+, a full pour & a great burger. I was always a fan of Sawbelly Brewing, the beer was okay, the vibe was cool & the food was excellent. When Sawbelly decided to shut down a few months ago & I heard Exeter Brewing Company was taking over the building, taproom & kitchen I was definitely ready. Seeing as I had always enjoyed there bottles I grabbed in stores it was great to see that they were finally opening a taproom & restaurant. Glad to say it doesn't seem to have changed to much inside & with the addition of their killer beer & kitchen I'm sure these guys will have a good amount of success hopefully. 🍻💪
I tried seven different beers varying in styles, but I'll talk about my personal favorite four. The taster of KOLSCH was really good out of the three light options I got on my flight. Then the taster of SWASEY DAZE IPA was next & it's a above average hazy for sure, delicious. I then turned to the darkside & grabbed a full pour of the SCHWARZBIER which was one of the better representations of this style I've had. The OATED SLEEPER Oatmeal Stout taster I got to finish off the trip was super smooth & creamy for a 9.4%, I would definitely get a full pour in the future. 🍻🔥🍺
All the seating options here including bar seating, hightops & tables. Outdoor seating during the warm season. (Although it's been pretty damn warm recently) The service was really good & the burger was f%&king fantastic, with braised beef on top of the burger patty. I'm glad I gave it a month or so before I came in, it was busy & the bar & taproom area was full, but we got sat at a table within a min or so of walking in. Definitely looking forward to returning again soon once they get some new different beers on since I luckily only live a handful of miles away now. 🍻🍻🔥☘

Read moreThere was a large hockey tournament across the street from the brewery. Several of us went to lunch before the tournament and the food was delicious. Service was a little bit slow, and we were told that a server called out in the morning. After the tournament, part of our team decided to go back to the brewery and get a few drinks and let the kids eat. About 10 of us arrived before everyone else and we were told we would need to wait until tables were clear to sit our group down. While we were waiting, I asked if we could get some drinks at the bar. We were told no we are not allowed to get drinks at the bar until tables had been cleared. This is pretty confusing when the majority of the restaurant is supposed to be a brewery and drinks should be served. As a note, there were only 10 other customers at the brewery. The rest of our party joined us and we let one of the servers know how many people we had. She informed us that any party past 16 people was then considered an event. Any other person in our group after that would have to wait again for more tables to be cleaned. I again asked if we could just get a drink before ordering food. I was told no, we would not be able to get drinks until the servers were ready. Again, this is pretty confusing as this is a brewery. Several of us waited about 15 minutes and were still not served a drink. At this point, we left to go to another restaurant down the street. In the meantime, we did notice that several people from our party were walking across the street to the gas station to purchase drinks because they were not being served any sort of drink, including soft drinks for the kids. After talking to those that stayed at the brewery, they told us it took almost 45 minutes to get their first round of drinks. They did receive their food after this. I would like to add that this was on a Saturday and it was 80° out. The manager of this restaurant should understand that their brewery will be busy on a Saturday, especially when the...
Read moreHave been here since Neighborhood Brewing and I thought it was a decent little place to come. Sawbelly I did not like at all food or the beer. I've been drinking Exeter Brewing since they started selling it out of select stores. They are really fun and I even made a custom glass made with their purple dinosaur logo. Came in at open and left at 1PM. So I stayed for an hour and a half. Service wasn't great to be honest. Waitress seemed to be preoccupied and spent a lot of time at a table she may have known personally. Ordered one beer, Boston and Maine which is a personal favorite. Glass sat empty for a while. Ordered Purple dinosaur next and after 3 sips I put it to the side and drank my water. It was beyond boozy. Of the 10-20 bottles I've purchased it's never tasted like that. Green beans were stellar! Asked for a second dipping sauce and got another sauce that doesn't even come with them. 🤣 Sweet chilli sauce is like water and not very dipable. Mac n cheese was good. Says it has bread crumbs and I guess technically it's true because I saw 3 or 4 pieces.
It's just not for me right now, maybe after a handful of months it might be better. I'll try again over the summer. Good to see they finally...
