I was recommended Mariano's La Puccia by some of my clients saying it was the best pizza in the valley. Anyone from here knows that there are hundreds of places to get good pizza. So I will be honest I was a little skeptical since that's a bold claim. I ordered two napoleatana pizzas one with pepperoni the other plain. I go to pickup the pizza and it was just about ready in the oven and I start talking with the owner about his business and he is telling me about their famous La Puccia, hence the name. I wasnt too familiar with it but I can tell you now I am. He went over and prepared some fresh La Puccia put it into the oven and brought it over as soon as it was done cooking. He came over and said this is La Puccia just smell how wonderful the bread is. My mouth was watering so badly I almost started drooling. The La Puccia is to die for and so is their pizza. I recommend this to everyone in the valley because it far exceeded my expectations and is now the best pizza I have ever had. All fresh homemade quality ingredients and the owner is so friendly and very passionate about his business that I can't help but say they are the best pizza place...
Read moreYears ago I worked in the area and my coworkers and I found Mariano's not far from work. And from the very first meal, we were hooked! Not to mention that Mariano was always waitng with a smile and special dishes he would make just for us! It was always so hard to choose! And his soups were the best ever! Went there for years but I had moved and it was pretty far. But I never forgot how delicious his puccias were. I had an appointment in that area and I saw a sign for Mariano's and said we had to go!! Best decision ever! He was still the same person I remembered. And when I ordered one of my favorites, he DID NOT disappoint!!! It was better than I remembered! SO YUMMY!! This man really knows how to cook and we can't wait to get back and try another kind! Once you have a puccia, you will want more, trust me! It was so good, I tried to take some home but the smell was driving me crazy and I ended up eating the last pieces before we ever got home. Thanks Mariano for being the nicest person and an even better cook! We...
Read moreThis small restaurant in Exeter Pa is a hidden gem. This was our 1st visit and we enjoyed the total experience. This is a BYOB so bring a nice bottle of wine to enjoy while your order is "made to order". We ordered a #1 and #18 La Puccia. This is a very thin and crispy crust filled with a variety of ingredients. #1 Puccia is ham, salami, provolone, tomatoes and onion. #18 Puccia is cheese steak, peppers, (choice of sweet or hot) onions and mushrooms. Both Puccia where excellent. Crust was very thin and crusty and allowed us to enjoy the the flavors of the fillings! These are a must try! In addition we ordered a large Napoleatana pizza. This is a plain cheese pizza with 8 cuts. Excellent home made thin crust, which sauce and real cheese blend. Great taste and texture. Highly recommended restuarant with great staff. Owner stopped by, Mario, and introduced him self to made sure we where happy with...
