Update: 2/13/2025 Returning back my timing was perfect because tonight is burger/chzburger night with fries for 7 bucks. Toppings extra of course. I started out with a cup of their chili, oh this was delicious, not spicy hot, flavor to warm you up on a cold day. Now for my burger I added just about everything I could think of, lettuce tomato sauteed onions and mushrooms and bacon. Ordered medium rare, and as always service was spectacular. Fries were nice and crispy. I ordered their chocolate mousse for dessert and OMG this was so good I felt my sugar count go up just by looking at it. Everything was so delicious can't wait to come back! Walking into the American Grill I was professionally greeted in a timely manner. I ordered "the duke" which is their version of a cheese steak however they use brisket, American cheese, their American sweet BBQ sauce, sauteed mushrooms and onions. The brisket was very tender, the bun nice and soft. Now I added their sweet sauce because I like a lot of sauce, now how it came was just as good, I just like sauce. You got a side being fries or chips with a pickle, I did fries. Now they are not , I should say don't look like fresh cut however nice hot and crispy. I also had their Texas Weiner with chili sauce yellow mustard and onions. Again the bun was nice and soft. The dog had a great taste which blended good with everything. To top it off I got their chocolate mousse for dessert which was incredible! If you have never been here before you got to check them out. Be blessed everyone!

This place is a disgrace. I hate to review restaurants because it's so low stakes and it's subjective, but complete ripoff with absolute terrible, burnt, bland food. Chicken tenders were burnt to a crisp and inedible. 0 flavor or juiciness. Breading is bland and you are better off with low-tier store bought tenders in the air fryer. Macaroni and cheese is an insult to humanity. Literal boxed brand elbow macaroni is greek god status compared to the abomination of macaroni they serve here. 0 flavor, fake cheese sauce with no flavor and undercooked roni. Extremely sad. Pulled chicken isn't pulled. It's little small flat round slices of chicken. They must put it through a meat slicer which really wouldn't make this "pulled chicken" but rather, deli sliced low tier flavorless chicken. I hate reviewing restaurants because how subjective it is, but their food is literal trash not fit for possum dumpster diving at 3am.

The food was okay. The burger, chicken tenders and fries were good, but most of us don't go to a BBQ joint for chicken fingers and a burger (kids, enough said.) The Brisket was lacking flavor and dry. The various BBQ sauces were a nice touch with a good variety to choose from. What irked me the most about this place is a deceptive menu. Under BBQ Platters, please try to order the 4 meat for $21. There are NO options of 4 meats you can get for the listed price. You'll either be up charged for ribs and brisket or you'll be up charged for doubling chicken, sausage and whatever else is available. The manager was sent out to help when the waitress couldn't make sense of it and the manager couldn't make it add up or make sense either.

Went there for dinner tonight as we have been going every Wednesday before a meeting the last couple months. The food is good....love there strawberry shortcake!! My favorite! My husband always enjoyed his thick peanut butter milkshake after dinner that was introduced to him by our server the one night and he has had them made by other servers just as the first one he had. Except for tonight! Which was fine..but he was a little disappointed because he was looking forward to it. He was asked how it was by the server and he replied that it wasn't as thick as it usually is. Just answering her question. As they say...if you don't want the real answer...don't ask the question. She said that SHE likes it thinner so it's easier to drink. Anyway as we were checking out..she said to him...I don't know what to tell you..you'll have to pick a different night to come..I don't what else to say.(like maybe I'll try to make it thicker next time) This was said as one of the owners was standing by her....I said to my husband...I don't think that was the thing to say...she seemed to have attitude. Owner said nothing. I called to speak with the owner and was told that she was her best server..."that my husband was complaining about the wait for the milkshake (no)...it wasn't an ice cream shop and milkshakes weren't there specialty and there were no standards on how they were to be made. Everybody makes them different...so if you like the way the other server made them"..even though others made them too..."that I should call to see if she was working before we came." WOW We enjoy their food...haven't had anything there I didn't like...and I talk their shortcake up...that people know I'm going to American Grill for my Strawberry Shortcake! Well...unfortunately for me....there will be no more strawberry shortcake for me from American Grill. We will miss the other servers and bus people. I've been told though there is a mean Strawberry shortcake elsewhere!! Looking forward to...

I have never been treated so poorly by a wait staff before in my life. Our server gave us an attitude from the moment we sat down. We were a small group who decided to give this small business OUR business, and we were met with a very discourteous server who gave us a tongue lashing regarding our lack of calling ahead. Mind you, there were only two other 2-top tables filled in the entire restaurant. A spokesperson from our group attempted to quietly discuss with her what the issue was, and this server continued speaking to us all with an attitude VERY unbecoming of a representative of this establishment. After trying to be as compliant as we possibly could be, in order to accommodate the kitchen and wait staff. Our representative spoke to the manager (possibly owner??) of this establishment to help ease the turmoil which the lead server was exhibiting toward us. We are a small club, who wanted to do nothing but support small businesses in our area, in this post-covid society. He did not act like he appreciated our business much better than our main server did. Two from our party were I side (we ate outside), and they overheard the wait staff all complaining and bemoaning our presence in their place of employ. To be fair, two of our servers were wonderful, but the other two seemed nothing but put out that we were there. Their attitude was deplorable. One even went so far as to tell one of us that they had no sweet tea, after he asked for a refill. He alerted her to the fact that the other (pleasant) server already got him 2 refills, and that they indeed DO have it!! Overall, it was disappointing, as far as service went. Unfortunately, we will not be returning, individually, or as a club. Food was ok. Nothing to...
