Gigs Place — Restaurant in Fairbury

Was very disappointed in the service we got tonight we went there for my dads birthday and are very frequent customers we go to gigs very often and the waitress sighed and said “seriously!” As we were all walking in the door I’m assuming because we were a bigger group of people even though the the place wasn’t busy at all then came to our table and proceeded to thrown our menus down hard onto the table and then was very rude and sighing the entire time she was taking our orders and rolling her eyes all the while we were being extremely respectful even saying yes and thank you ma’am, it was a sigh of relief when the owner had to come help her wait on us because we finally got someone who was pleasant! The waitress apologized in the end but to me that just shows how aweful she was being to have to apologize for the way she was. Absolutely ridiculous sorry we made you do...

So we arrived at Gigs place at 9am. We had to seat ourselves and waited for 20 minutes for drinks. Get up to get food and there's not one single clean plate. In an hour and a half we seen the waitress 3 times and 1 time she stopped at our table. This the most pathetic service I've ever seen in my life. Nobody came out to clean tables the buffet had barely any food. People were bussing their own tables. Absolutely inexcusable!!! Service and prices were fine. They only had two selections of draft beer. Two people in my family ordered items they were out of. The loaded nachos appetizer was substandard. We've ordered the nachos before, and they were amazing. I'm beginning to think of this place as only being a good bar. But they have five tappers at the bar, and three of them were empty. I really wanna like this place. I'm hoping it was just a bad night. Too bad it happened to a family wanting to have a quiet Veterans Day...
