Absolutely awful experience, and I recommend NOT giving this business your time or money. The food is terrible, and the customer service is even worse.
This past week I was in town visiting and was excited when my mother suggested visiting this new restaurant not far from her home. Being from the area I know there aren't many restaurants in town that are quality, and I was really hoping Josie's would be one that we could come to frequently. It's location is great, but that's about all that it has going for it.
We came in on Thursday evening about 5:30pm for dinner. At that time there were only a handful of guests seated. It took about 10 minutes before our waitress came to our table, so when she did we already knew our orders to expedite the process. She brought us our waters, and we proceeded to sit for 55 minutes without even an acknowledgment, refill on water, or update on our food. Finally we got up to leave, and I saw our waitress as we were walking out. I told her it had been almost an hour, and we had to leave. She told us the food she was holding was ours, so I asked for her to box it up.
We went to the window to pay, and a woman (maybe an owner, I wasnt sure) explained there was an issue with the printer. I told her I understand things happen, but someone should've communicated that with us. All we had ordered was a grilled chicken salad and a grilled veggie wrap, both simple items to make. She apologized and offered to give us 10% (a whopping $1.70) off our bill. When we got home, we realized they had made both of our food items incorrectly, my mom's being the completely wrong item. On top of that, the food was terrible.
I strongly recommend not wasting your time, money, or energy...
Read moreThis charming place really wowed us! While in Columbiana getting our dog groomed, we searched for a restaurant that served home cooked meals. We found "Josie's!" 🙌 The ambiance is stunning, quaint, and cozy! We were pleasantly greeted, seated, and waited on by "Tanya." She was wonderful!! Her knowledge of the menue, and explanations of how EVERY item is cooked, prepped, marinated, etcetera were amazing! She even detailed all of the "locally sourced" food items, specifically, meats, poultry, produce, and the like! The food was top tier! Like other's have mentioned, the portions are huge! I noticed almost every table left with "left-overs." The food is truly home made, delicious, and outstanding! 😋 We will be back! I have been to all 50 States, and several Countries, and I've never experienced such detailed knowledge of every menue item! The owner(s) came over to our table for a "meet 'n greet", which added to the enigmatic experience!! My husband loved everything as well! We went back to "Rosco's Dog Grooming" and bragged! They are interested in trying "Josie's" as well!! If you are in the area, please stop by and try this delicious food! Dine in, or carry-out. It is so affordable, and made with hugs & love! You are truly treated like FAMILY! We didn't have to ask for anything, [like most places], napkins, refills, etc. A special "thanks" to Tanya and this glorious staff, for making our time there, enjoyable & memorable ❤️ God Speed to all of you!...
Read moreMy parents and I stopped in for lunch. The menu had a decent number of selections, including appetizers and a few desserts. Sandwiches, wraps, and personal pizzas are the main offerings for an entree.
I had a half-size grilled chicken salad with the raspberry vinaigrette dressing. It was plenty of salad for me and I appreciated the fact that the greens included more than just iceberg lettuce. My father had the “Super Side Salad,” while my mother had the mild sausage sandwich. They were both pleased, as well.
Everything was went smoothly: • The food seemed fresh and served at the right temperature. • We didn’t have a long wait to be seated, and were served a reasonable amount of time for a sit-down, small-town type “diner.” • The staff was not exceptionally friendly but our server answered all the questions my parents asked and was accommodating to their special requests (they are both in their 80s and expect things to be done “just so”).
All in all, it was a pleasant experience, reasonably priced, and worth a return visit sometime. I pray...
