Our first time here. Im handicapped ,today I used my cane. Usually have rolling walker. I got front parking but then to get in there was a step, which is very hard for me. Fiance had to help me step up. We got in, very small. Waited for table to open. Thank goodness I didn't have my walker because there's no room for it. Ordered 2 teas, coffee, steak and eggs, pancakes. I got my tea, and the tea bag was already open, as seen in picture the tea dust on the cup. Got our food. Toast was hard, they made more. Some of the potatoes were burnt some not. The steak wasn't to bad, just a little tough, we ordered med-rare. We had to keep flagging someone down for more coffee, etc. I asked about a ramp for handicapped, they said they will ask and let me know. I never got an full answer. Just he might have a ramp to put out front she wasn't sure. So forget if your in a wheelchair, walker etc. It also seemed like staff etc, new every customer in there accept us. Lol. Just wish more handicapped accessible. We also never got a bill. Apparently they keep it at the register. So we had no idea how much it was until got to register and it was said so everyone else can hear how...

Breakfast was consistently good until today. First let me say the coffee was delicious and our waitress was very attentive! We both had the number 5. This consists of 2 eggs, potato, choice of sauage or bacon and toast. We both asked for well done bacon and potatoes. The bacon wasn't crisp and the potatoes needed some sort of spice because they were very bland. The eggs and rye toast we both got were good but my bf got a side of scrapple and it was burnt. On this beautiful spring day the temp outside was 63 but inside the Village Book and Table it felt like it was 80. They did turn the air on after someone requested but we feel like they should have known and turned it on early. My bf couldnt finish eating because it was too hot. We've been there plenty of times and have never encountered this problem before. I think today was just a fluke and we...

We found this place at almost an hour and a half away, we would definitely drive the hour and a half just to eat the again. I've read the negative reviews and I don't see what they were saying, we were seated immediately and the extremely friendly waitress was completely attentive even with everyone that was there. The food was absolutely amazing, hot, fresh and delicious another plus the coffee was better in every way over any other place I have been! Take a chance on this restaurant it's worth it in every way. Also we ate a huge breakfast and paid almost nothing, I had 2 pancakes 2 eggs bacon (fresh bacon) potatoes (possibly the very best I've ever had) my wife had the same minus the pancakes and we took and extra side of bacon and 2...

I like "farm to table ", but wasn't something that I was expecting from a breakfast/lunch place away from Gettysburg near Ski Liberty. While the waitresses were busy, one of the cook/owners came to take my order in a Tshirt from a nearby Egg farm. Ordered two entrees: the chicken sausage, cheese and onion omelet; and 2 pancakes. Meal was great and reasonably priced. Really great option if you are a "ski parent ".

Disappointed. We planned our breakfast at Village Book and Table based on their Google listing indicating they were open. Unfortunately, when we arrived, a sign on the door announced they were closed. This miscommunication caused us an unnecessary inconvenience during our travels. I hope the restaurant will ensure their operating hours are accurately updated online to avoid future issues for visitors.
