Derby Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Fairmont

Went to the derby tonight with my family of 3 we ordered three orders of chicken wings , One 12 piece, A 10 piece & a 6 piece , along with 2 cans of sodas and a bottled water . The server brought us back two big pitchers of watered down soda and claimed they were out of bottled waters , so my fiancé asked for juice instead, they charged us twice for the juice , mind you he wanted water but they didn’t have it bottled so instead we had to pay extra for their inconvenience , it took about an hour and 20 minutes for us to get our food, the servers continuously checked on all the other patrons who happened to be white and we were the only african american customers in the establishment. They never asked us how everything was going ,never gave us an ETA on our food ,apologized for the wait , nothing. I asked the waiter prior to ordering was the steak hoagie good and she said yes and it was absolutely disgusting, The fries were ice cold They did an up charge for the peppers that supposedly already came on the sandwich they did an up charge for a side of mild sauce when my wings had little to no sauce on them at all . All around the experience was horrible the staff does not tend to black customers the way they do white customers and the wait was ridiculous for a bar who allows people to smoke cigarettes inside . I am pregnant and I was not pleased with this visit whatsoever, won’t be back and will absolutely not...

I have traveled all over and gone to many different bar and grills, but nothing can compare to my awful experience that I had at the Derby Bar and Grill last night. I was there for a total of ten minutes only to pick someone else up that was to intoxicated to drive and in that ten minutes, a gentleman that worked there and was at the bar off the clock, was soon after I got there screaming profanity at me and talking to me, that under no circumstance should any woman be talked to. I do not need to quote word for word what the man said, I am sure you can guess. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and since this is how they run there business, chances are they will not be in business for long, if not I am sure they will be sued for harassment of some kind in the very near future. No male should ever threaten a woman s life, and I am sure this isn t the first time since the attack on me happened almost immediately after walking...

This was my first visit, and I was quite happy with the service, food, and drink. The guys running the bar did a great job. They were around enough that you didn't go dry, but not so much to be annoying. The food was great bar fare. I had the steak sandwich and some wings. The menu says 10 in an order, but you order the amount you want even if it isn't wing night (which is Wednesdays for $.60 each according to a sign on the wall). All of the beer on tap was IPA. It was not clear if they rotate or not. This is a nice local bar. It's not fancy, but it's a nice place. It's probably not a first date place for most people, but it's a great place to meet...
