I donāt usually write reviews, but I hope the staff and management at The Ranch are taking note. 1) It was so dark in there, we thought it was closed. 2) The reviewers who have previously mentioned the cleanliness of this establishment: there are a multitude of opportunities to improve. The age of the building is showing in the ceiling, the carpet, and decor (though the figurines all over is very charming and unique.) 3) There were very, very few customers when we arrived and yet, with three waitress staff working, we had to wait to be seated. The staff is of high school age and their age-appropriate work ethic shows. Perhaps a floor manager would be of good use to the restaurant. 4) We had a bill of over $50 for two of the smallest, simplistic steaks we have ever had. I couldāve made better at home, which is unfortunate. The āvegetable choiceā was a bowl of plain, boiled carrots. The salad bar, as others have mentioned, is very minimal and the salad, itself, was not very fresh. It was edible, for a bag of premixed salad you can find anywhere. But hey, your mozzarella sticks are tasty, so not all is lost.
Summary: Clean it up, give your staff a lesson on being attentive to incoming and seated customers, and either put a greater effort into your food creations, or lower the price. Seems it canāt be both.
I donāt think we will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCalled to place an order, staff seemed unsure of what they were supposed to be doing and completely undertrained. This is, of course, not their fault as they don't train themselves. I was told that my order would be ready in 10 minutes. It was 35 minutes of waiting in their lobby. The wait was not an issue, but I would have much preferred to have been told to wait 35 minutes. As it turns out, one of my burgers was completely forgotten and never made. Because of this, the rest of my order was very old and honestly kind of gross. The soup I ordered was the wrong kind and so old the broth had separated. The Frisco burger I ordered was cold all the way through and the toast was wet and the butter(?) on it was congealed and hard. The onion rings and fries were cold and soggy. Most of this order seemed like it had been left in the refrigerator for the 35 min wait and then reheated for 10-20 seconds. Even the pickles on the side were dried out. The one redeeming factor was the burger that had been completely forgotten until my arrival. Because of this, it was quite fresh and warm. Above average bar food, average restaurant quality burger. I might have had better luck if I had ordered at an unusual time of day, but I probably won't be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI enjoyed a really nice breakfast at the Ranch this past Sunday, although I was somewhat apprehensive upon arriving and seeing the overflowing parking lot and all the people standing in the entryway. That apprehension was short lived as I watched watch party get escorted quickly to their table. Our waitress showed us to our table and immediately took our drink order. The drinks were delivered in a short time and our breakfast order was taken. We LOVED our waitress. She was very personable and friendly but even more than that she helped us navigate the menu to best suit our ācustomā requests. The wait for food was a little lengthier but we enjoyed a nice time chatting and people watching a bit. The restaurant was absolutely packed due to softball tournaments this weekend but the team at aThe Ranch seemed to be handling it pretty well. Our food arrived and it was all absolutely delicious. I rarely can eat a full plate of breakfast but I sure did clean my plate this time. I had hashbrowns that were cooked nicely browned and crispy in the edges. My over medium egg was also cooked perfectly. The sausage gravy was tasty but I do think it was canned which was slightly disappointing but considering all the positives it surely didnāt dim...
