Sherman's Street Food and Bake Shop — Restaurant in Fairview Township

So, bit of a long story here. Sherman's used to be a roadside ice cream/food place on the border of Girard and Springfield. About 10 years ago. My family and I went there at least once a week because the food was so amazing and the team running it were the best. Always friendly, always amazing food. When they closed we were legitimately upset. They had the kind of food that gets brought up at family gatherings out of the blue, like "remember the yellow jacket burger or the Chicago dog? This place is still getting on it's feet but off to a great start! We had the 1/4lb burger, fried pretzel, and burger kids meal. The owner was so sweet and awesome, he explained how the burgers were mixed and never frozen, yay! The burgers were so tasty on the most pillowy delicious bun, simple and delish! Fries are perfectly crispy and salted. The pretzel was a miss for us, mostly too hard, but if they were fresh they would be amazing. We also got a free bag of homemade freeze dried candy. Finally made it out to Fairview to try this restaurant. I’m so glad I did! I have heard rave reviews about their yellowjacket burger, but honestly can’t eat a sandwich that big so I opted for the smaller version, the jacket junior. It was sooo good (and i still had to give up the last bite to my friend because it’s so filling) The fries were hot and delicious and my peanut butter shake was so yummy (they use Reese’s peanut butter!!
