Waffle House — Restaurant in Fairview

I went to Waffle House the first time on my birthday on Sunday 3.6.22. We walked in and there were two men waiting for a table before we got there. There were two tables with dirty dishes and the lower counters had dirty dishes as well. A young guy was cleaning the counter as we stood there.

The two men who were waiting was seated after one of the tables was cleaned. We continued to stand there as I observed all the staff talking to each other. But not once did they ask us how many were in our party, we are busy and we will get you taken care of soon...we were not acknowledged at all.

So we gave them about 15 minutes. My son finally asked me if I wanted to go to Denny's. I said YES very loud. They just lost my business for the day. Strike 1 - Waffle House. Not sure if I want to give you another chance.

The staff I observed were very young adults. They have no concept of customer service and how to make sure you take care of your future customers.

Now I will be more than happy to give Denny's a really great review. There was no wait. They sat us immediately and our server let us know that they were busy and she would be with us soon. That is what is called Customer Service. I hope you learn from...

Yesterday, my brother and I stopped here to eat. As we entered, there was a party of 5 teenagers ahead of us, being seated in a booth across the restaurant. Our server also had this table, as my brother and I sat watching her having an extended visit to the table, while they kept their heads in their phones, telling her to come back. After 17 minutes, another server came and asked us what drinks we wanted, so we ordered those, AND WAITED. After about another 10 minutes of watching our server make it to seemingly every where in the store, my brother and I stood up and asked for our check for our drinks. Lo and behold here came our server to ask for our order, when we didn't even have menus yet... So, don't patronize this location, as we were sitting at the counter just below the register, both well groomed, presentable, passed by several other servers as well. I usually love going to waffle house and was so excited when we got one in our hometown. But it all changed when I went to eat there. The service was horrible, waited so long for service and food while they were busy talking with other coworkers sitting around doing nothing. One time I went one of the staff members was really rude and yelling across the restaurant and being really loud, slamming the dishes around, it got so bad I just left. The store is always really dirty there is either stuff on the floor or syrup on the bench or table. I've gone there 4 times hoping it would change but it never has some of the coworkers are rude and don't seem like they want work. Dennys is so much better just save your time and go there. I will probably never go back to this waffle house again, unless...
