Updated 11/19/2016 Called at 11:30am to try another delivery. The lady mentioned to me over the phone that Whomever was at my delivery address cursed at their driver and cursed at the lady over the phone during the previous delivery incident. and supposedly per the Dunk N Munch 'big boss' They are not allowed to deliver to my address any longer.
After this message the lady hung up on me over the phone. I tried to call back to correct their information as clearly it was false. The lady just rambled on about how its MA - law that they can refuse service to anyone they deem fit (which is fine)
However Dunk N Munch, what you are claiming and what actually transpired are two different things one is fact and what you are claiming is fiction.
It's too bad that none of your phone lines are recorded nor was there a camera at the front door so we can just play it back for you.
If this is how you treat your customers because you get mad that your deliveries were 2 hours late and you would rather defend bad service and make up false accusations that is fine.
No hair loss of my back for not doing business with you.
This is just a review/comment about my recent delivery experience with Dunk N Munch.
A couple of weeks ago, we ordered delivery at 08:30 am and the food never came after an hour wait (had to cancel cause I would be late for work).
Today 11/6. We ordered right when they allow for deliveries and the food did not show up till bordeline 2hrs. 8:33a(call time) - 10:20a(arrival of food)
I understand that deliveries can be busy. However a 2-hr wait time for a breakfast and coffee is a little disappointing. Especially when its Fall and the driver did not have an insulated case to keep any of the food or coffee warm.
Yes we can cook our own food however for days when time is short and you opt for convenience. Waiting 1 - 2hrs for warm food is really somewhat...
Read moreIn 2024 it is extremely rare to find a restaurant that understands what customer service truly is. COVID damaged the concept of customer service in many industries including restaurants. Whining of short staff, availability of products was used as an excuse for poor customer service. Social media pressure to just accept this was rampant during COVID. While there was some truth to the challenges, many restaurants exaggerated it. Many restaurants still try to cling to this long past the pandemic demanding high tips for poor service and tips on services that historically weren't tipped, like take out pick up.
Today, I woke up and felt like a proper breakfast and ended up on Rodman Street at Dunk n Munch. I had no awareness of when they opened until I reached the door and discovered I was 10 minutes early. Most retailers today just let you wait outside. In contrast, the owner of Dunk n Munch saw me and asked me to come inside and have a coffee and wait, while the grill was still warming up.
Seeing as their coffee is awesome, I gratefully accepted.
Since the staff was still not there, he served as waiter and cook and I had my meal before the restaurant even opened. What a super awesome person he is. He recently moved into the same town as me and so we chatted a bit about local municipal politics.
I had a Portuguese omelet which was excellent!! There home fries are bomb. They seem to be deep fried, yet there is no residual oil on them...... so? Are they air fried, maybe? I will definitely ask next time. I have had other meals there like their whole hangover line up; eggs benedict; etc. Never a complaint with the food.
Today it was blissfully peaceful and then one under 2 year old came in.... oh well they can't control that. lol
All and all, this owner has won my future business as a result of his simple kindness and humility, not to mention his...
Read moremy girlfriend and I just moved to Fall River, and we noticed this little mom and pop shop since it's only about a half mile down the road from where we live. We walked in, not too busy... maybe 3 or 4 deuces sitting down. I counted 4 tables that still had trash and leftovers from previous customers, including the one we sat at. 4 tables doesn't sound like much, but this is a very small restaurant. There was dust on the ceiling, part of the ceiling tile was damaged and very noticeable, like dangling literally right above us. There were flies. When the waitress brough us creamer there was some sort of black particles floating in it, not sure what that was. My girlfriend specifically said she wanted homefries on the side and was served a bowl of fruit... not sure how you can mess that up. I asked for swiss cheese in my omelette and got american cheese. Both of our omelettes were dry and slighty burnt. The coffee was subpar. The only reason why i did not give this review a one star is because the waitresses were OK, the homefries were good, and the price is fair. I used to work in a restaurant, I understand the stress and reality of the business and work. Maybe these folks were just having a bad day, who knows. I respect the business for trying to stay afloat in the today's age of corporate chain takeover. It's very hard for small businesses to survive; with that being said they need to step up their game. Would I make a return trip? Not...
