New York Bagel Co — Restaurant in Fall River

Only giving 2 stars because the bagels are tasty, but the woman who works the window is an absolute monster. We order 3 bagels, not 1 requiring lettuce. What we recieved is 2 bagels with lettuce on them. No big deal, mistakes happen! What happened next was the worst customer service I have ever received. We alerted her of the mistake and was treated like we did something wrong. In her condescending sing song voice proceeded to tell her coworker that she needed 2 new bagels because we didn't like what they made us, asked us the order and repeated it back to her co worker wrong when we corrected her again and she said, "no, now they want (bla BLA BLA)" like we were changing the order on them. Mind you we order the EXACT same thing everytime we go. There were some other rude comments and gestures mixed in there. So at this point my attitude is beginning to mirror hers, not due to the mix up, but to her blatant lack of mutual respect. She then begins to tell us continuing in her condescending sing song voice that mistakes happen and she has to remember everything we say and if we think we can do it better she has applications in the shop. Ironically my wife is a bartender in a very busy local establishment and does pretty well for herself, amazing actually. Everyone has a bad day I get it....but this isn't the first, second, or third time she has been rude and we commented on it to ourselves after we left the drive through, but it was the worst time. Which is why I'm leaving this review. Update....The third bagel which I have not mentioned yet, which we did not check because, well, it was a bagel with cream cheese can't mess that up. I used to work for a company very similar to them. I have had their bagels in the past and they are absolutely delicious and on point. However, the last time I came through this passed Thursday I decided I would try one of their salads with their chicken, cranberry pecan salad to go with it as well. I'm not sure what it was exactly from that meal that got me as sick as I am but I know for fact that it was this meal that got me sick. The effect was almost immediate. I had almost uncontrollable vomiting and other unpleasantries to deal with until my shift ended. It's now Saturday and I'm still not well and cannot hold down food. I will be going to the hospital tomorrow if all is not well.

Long and short, I probably have E Coli or sallmonella food poisoning. I tried to call several times to speak with a manager and the phone number on the website and here do not work. Please have your staff wash their hands, check with your food supplier frequently to ensure quality and SAFETY of your...

the bagels and coffee are good but that’s where it stops. service is terrible and all the workers but one have an attitude. i work 2nd shift so i usually go in later in the day and they always have an attitude that you came in an hour before they close. was met by dirty looks as soon as i walked in even though they closed in an hour. wanted a coffee today but they didn’t have any non dairy in stock so i left and they immediately locked the doors behind me. i understand they want to close and go home, but you can’t just give customers an attitude just for going in during open hours. honestly made me feel like they didn’t even want to make my order.

edit- management absolutely doesn’t care. tried to contact them online about the situation. i was polite and wasn’t looking for anything for free or reimbursement. just wanted to make them aware as i’m not the only one with complaints. got zero response. visit NY fresh bagel in fall river instead. food is good and fresh and the owners are so nice...
