Myself and a friend visited Newport Creamery a few days ago. We both got one scoop of ice cream. His was in a bowl with peanut butter and mine was on a cone. They totally fumbled that small order having to remake it. I observed laziness and low quality customer service. Today I went back. Hopeful my last experience was just an off day as I have been frequenting this restaurant since I was 8 years old. It was a staple for an outing with my grandfather as a kid; this providing nostalgic memories when I go. Needless to say, today I had to ask for my money back. I ordered over the phone and was asked if I was a door dash after I started my name and that I was picking up my phone order. Second, my ice cream was barely a table spoon and melting everywhere. An older woman remade it after shouting at me that because of the placement of the freezers everything is melting.... Further, the young man was looking for cups for my soup and seemed to just grab whatever was near him. I then asked for my money back as I knew the quantity of my order did not align with the price I paid. The young man who was supposed to be helping me clearly shouldn't be working in a high traffic restaurant as he had anxiety and became weepy, turned his back on me and ran to the bathroom. I had to express my concern for him and the fact that this is not quality service. It seems like they just don't care. Onlookers were equally as frustrated and retreated back to their cars without anything at all. I hope things turn around because I've never seen such a thing in all my life. Very...
Read moreJust had the worst experience here and probably will not come back. First we waited for over an hour for the food. When we asked our server if the food was almost ready we were told we were next up despite other tables who came in 15 minutes after us getting their food before us. When we get the food the order was inaccurate and actually disgusting. My grandsons “Spanish omelette” the cheese was not even melted just straight up cold sliced cheese. It took another 10-15 minutes for them to redo the omelette and actually melt the cheese. My wife and I each ordered a 3x3. When we got the food we immediately noticed on my wife’s plate she only got 1 slice of bacon instead of 3. Only 2 eggs instead of 3. 1 1/2 sausage links instead of 3. On my plate I only had 2 of everything instead of 3. When we mentioned it to the server she said we ordered the 2x3 which we didn’t. We had to ask to get the correct amount of bacon, eggs, and sausage. Food was ok taste wise besides extremely crispy bacon that was practically inedible. Omelette was okay but not worth getting again. I really feel like this was done intentionally because we asked how much longer it would be. No discount on the bill no apology from a manager. Waste of money...
Read moreI hate having to write a bad review. I will state my issue for my last experience but note there have been many other occasions. I showed up ahead of my wife and goddaughter and got a table to wait for them. I asked for coffee. I waited about 10+ minutes before I got coffee watching my waitress Tracy just walk around and talk to people, then Sit a party of one and get them coffee, then sit a family of 4 and get their coffee. Once I received my coffee I said I’m ready to order for everyone I knew their orders she said sorry no, not right now. So about 5-10 minutes later my wife showed and we continued to wait another 15+ mins. The waitress walked by and said I will be with you shortly. After waiting 10+ more minutes and watching her sit 2 more family’s I just finished my coffee and in my mouth was a dime sized paper napkin piece. We looked around and still haven’t seen the waitress so I left money for my coffee and we left. I’m not to worried about the coffee I know stuff happens. But this service I get from this one particular person is always like this. Anyone else I have no issues and always have a...
