We enjoyed our meal at the Grand Valley Inn. The food was delicious! The portions were perfect and felt worth the value. The food was definitely worth it.
Our server was very good. I’m sorry I don’t remember her name but she was attentive without being intrusive. She always made sure our beverages were full and did a great job.
Now my only negative and I run the risk of sounding like a prude. But this is important in my opinion.
This is our first time here in quite a while. Does the Grand Valley Inn really want the very first impression to be a hostess (or manager or owner I’m not sure) wearing a shirt with a prominent swear word on it??
I thought the Grand Valley Inn had a certain level of atmosphere and class wanted but I do not see the appropriateness of this. There are many who find this objectionable and do not want to see this obscenity every time this person walks by our table. I did not say anything because quite frankly I wasn’t sure if this lady was a manager/owner or not and I wasn’t sure of what kind of response I would get and wasn’t looking for trouble.
Again, the food and service was great! No complaints and very high quality. But the atmosphere is hurt by things like that shirt, unless that’s what the Grand Valley Inn is...
Read moreI randomly wondered into this restaurant and got a table. It was obvious I had never been there before so the owner Joe came to my table, shook my hand, and thanked me for coming in. This is something I'd only expect from a restaurant with a quadrupled price point... next my server Jules delivers a menu and list of specials. The Sunday specials were an entire page and the prices almost to good to be true. Jules answered all of my menu questions with ease and grace. I got the "Italian Platter" meatballs, chicken parm, Alfredo and soup or salad. (I got the soup but added a salad for a small upcharge) It was 3 plates large plus soup and absolutely delicious! Even the other guests were awesome. I ended up talking with the table next to mine about food, travel and culture. (Shout out to Bob & Deb). This also says a lot about the overall vibe of this place. Everyone is happy, friendly and happy to be there. Lastly, as good as I am trying to make this review it doesn't do my experience or meal justice. Don't let the unassuming facade or rustic interior fool you either.. this place is world class and could match any eatery in any major city. If you're not from the area, that's ok... make the drive out, it's totally worth it. Huge thanks to...
Read moreMet for a family gathering on a Saturday afternoon, 25 people seated. 7 items on the menu. Took 45 mins for the food to arrive. Food was cold on several dishes. I could understand the wait, but there was only 4 other tables being occupied at the same time. No information on long it would take to get served, and no apologies on the wait. Very disappointe..
EDIT. I was being kind when I said 45 mins. It was closer to an hour AFTER the order was placed, and like I wrote earlier, I can under the wait, with that many orders being placed at ones. Myself and my BIL ordered the fish platter, both of out plates came as sandwiches, and were cold as if they had been sitting on the counter the entire time, not even under a warming light. And with a(understood) limited menu, two of which being salads, the wait time was ridiculously long, then to have the food come out cold. Totally unacceptable. I'm not even a foodie. I picked the fish out of the bread, and ate two fries before pushing the plate away. We left and went to...
