Poor food quality. The chicken in the pad thai didn't taste like chicken. The noodles were very oily, bland, incredibly soggy and mushy. The chicken and Broccoli, and the wonton soup were beyond salty. The lobster sauce is not specified on the menu that it is a New England style lobster sauce, which is misleading to the more common lobster sauce. But more importantly, I have to emphasize that the food was inedible! The lobster sauce smelled and tasted like wet cat food that has been microwaved for 30 seconds. This is not a lie. It simply could not be eaten. It was a pick up/ To-Go order. We had to make the dreaded call for a refund for at least that God forsaken lobster sauce, that has given me freakin' nightmares til this day. Sidenote: I wasn't going to write a review, but today, it came across my mind, and I feel that they have to take accountability for their poor customer service. Air Bnbs are popular and there will be more people from different areas visiting Falmouth. The restaurant may want to step up their game. I know we will revisit the area soon with more friends and family. Unfortunately, the restaurant lost us as good customers because when we enjoy a food establishment... we always return. Isn't that the point of running a restaurant... wanting the people to return? The phone call was one sided and non negotiable. They did not listen at all. They said, that they made no mistake on their end. For example, 'no hair or band aide in the food, so no refund'.
We were not locals, we were visiting, and once they found that out; it was all they could mention. 'Oh you guys are not from here, that's the way it is made in this area'. Talking to us as if we didn't have Chinese food before. Their tone was condescending. 'We are not from here, so they don't have to worry about losing customers'.
It doesnt matter that it was New England style. It mattered that we couldn't eat it and now it's money lost. We had a big order, almost $200 and most of the food went to the garbage. That breaks my heart. So much waste of food, money, and our time. They are stubborn and not welcoming to out of towners. So if you are visiting Cape Cod, and you care about good service, and the quality of food that you put into your body.... Avoid...
Read moreMe and 2 of my friends decided to stop in for some pan seared peaking ravioli.. which was perfection, btw. But the service was rude and utterly embarrassing to the well renowned restaurant. My 2 friends I was with decided to get a scorpion bowl.. although I do not drink, I used to, and I know well enough that the middle of the bowl should've been lit with flame... which would only happen if they used the proper alcohol. They mentioned it to Kim, whom they know very, very well. She responded in a very ugly manner and told them "this is how we make it, dont like dont drink" which was not the truth because it usually is made properly and usually is lit with flame. She walked away from the table. I went to ask our waitor for an order of ravioli to-go.. he ignored me and gave me the check with our current order. My friends called Kim over again and told her how poorly we had been treated the whole visit and un pleasant it was especially being on their last day before closing for a while... and unfortunately, the waitors tip was going to be a reflection on his rude manner. .. she told my friends (whom might I add, spend hundreds a week at this restaurant) to leave. I have been going to this restaurant for 16 years... I am extremely disappointed in our service or lack thereof due to THEIR negligence and improper ingredients in their poorly made drink, and the way we were treated because THEIR staff was rude... I'm not sure if I'll return, which is disheartening.. as for my friend... well, let's just say the restaurant won't have as many available parking spots as they do now due to treating him so poorly. Don't ever bite the hand that feeds you. I won't be surprised if many many cars get towed from there this upcoming season....
Read moreVery poor service and attentiveness by staff. They do not provide a menu when you are seated. We had to ask.
Waitress was very terse and outright rude. When our food arrived, we were surprised to see that it was in packages. She would not allow us to eat in, even though the restaurant was open for another half hour. WE WERE NOT TOLD AT THE TIME WE ORDERED THAT WE COULD NOT EAT THERE.
We asked why we could not eat in, “I have been here since the morning“. Well, I understand that, does that mean you don’t get to provide service to customers after you have been working a long time? Why not just close the restaurant early then ?
Her two coworkers did not seem to care in the least.
The food itself was mediocre at best. Everything was VERY SALTY. Chicken and beef were soggy. Vegetables were stale.
We will never go back...
