VIP Catering — Restaurant in Fargo

Had them cater my wedding last weekend. It was a mess. I asked for servers to be there for 4 hours and they only stayed 2 it was like they rushed us through dinner. My family was still eating as they were leaving and i had people come ask me where the food went. Portions on plates were very small, and food was alright at best. Some tasted like it was bought from a store and heated up. And the service of setting everything up prior to the wedding was not super great either. There was very minimal contact with one another, no contracts- i had to ask for one. And what catering company doesn’t bring tins to give the rest of the food to the ones who ordered it? They took it back to their restaurant and i had to call to ask if i was even getting the rest of it, they said i had to get containers and go pick it up. Now if i were going on a honeymoon, i would have gotten to the food after it had gone bad. Let’s just say im not very happy...

Went for Easter lunch. Food was mediocre. Overcooked vegetables, brown rice that seemed cooked and spooned right out of the pan without seasoning, blackberry ginger hoisin pork tenderloin which at best had blackberry flavor, which was ok, but I was expecting to detect the other flavors listed. Honestly not what I would expect for $20 a plate.

Dessert was ok, coconut cake had good flavor but the frosting was generically sweet. A friend ordered the creme brulee, which appeared to have been bruleed and then put back in the fridge overnight, was unimpressed as well.

Ambiance of a grandma's 1960s basement. Not my style and that's fine. Light fixtures without bulbs in them over the tables is concerning to me... Though I didn't check to see if they were live, I think it's best to...

I ordered catering from VIP Room for a work-related office event last week. The food looked really good and tasted delicious! Everyone at the event was a fan of the food and service, especially of the Layered Taco Dip and the Steak Chimichurri Crostinis. The food arrived on time and the setup was fast and perfectly organized. The manager and staff were very professional, helpful, and friendly to work with. I definitely recommend VIP for catering and will be a customer again...
