All the reviews before mine nailed it: EXCEPTIONAL. Seriously: service, food, cost - everything that matters: all ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

I actually ordered from Faribault Family by mistake about ohhhh... a year ago? (Thought it was Perkins.) I had ordered what was essentially a very irresponsible 'snack' consisting of cheese curds chicken strips and a California style breakfast plate with hash browns and avocado and ... my mouth is starting to water 🤤... ... ANYWAY - it was delicious. As in truly notably remarkable.

I went to Faribault Family Restaurant this morning with my aunt for brunch. Again, notably remarkable. The food was (still) delicious and the staff... 😏...

In 2024 so much is online or remote or delivery or drop off or some other form of anti-social / no direct human interaction...ness if you know what I mean. THAT IS NOT THE CASE HERE.

My ☕ coffee was NEVER less than ½ full! There were 2 servers that I saw - one of whom was pregnant - and they were ON IT; circling around filling coffees delivering orders being incredibly polite and professional for 18 people (so like 14, 15 tables?) yet they never appeared harried.

For those of you familiar with Faribault the restaurant is at the Truckers' Inn (separate space.)

Overall Evaluation & Actual Status: EXCEPTIONALLY VIABLE Personal Recommendation: If you're looking for the kind of service, friendliness and cozy atmosphere that existed in the '90s then come here. It still exists at this restaurant. 😌

I stopped in from the road. I was wanting a good, whole breakfast. According to Google, there's nothing within miles of here, so I thought I'd give it a shot after seeing all the good reviews. I should have kept driving... The only reason this place is even open and the locals like it is because there is absolutely no competition anywhere close. My eggs had no flavor, the sausage was tough and over cooked, the cinnamon French toast tasted like it was frozen & heated in a toaster, the hash browns were the worst on the plate with no flavor, even less flavor than anything else on the plate. This was the most bland breakfast I have ever eaten. How this place has been open for so long is absolutely Monday blowing. Small town people will settle for...

Our first Delivery order wasn't the best food, but I attested it out first time eating food from there so we just picked random dishes for breakfast/lunch. Our second and third time ordering the food was better and we just kept trying different things each order. My favorite so far was the strawberry French toast. Followed by their good old classic cheeseburger. My husband has tried everything from the biscuits and gravy I believe to all their breakfast dishes. He really enjoys the homecook taste of the breakfast. (Very old school and used to grandpa's cooking growing up). My kids really also enjoyed the pancakes and French toast. We really want to go in soon, were new to Faribault and with two kiddos under 3, it's just hard to done...
