The service was excellent. The food was decent. We were greeted with the warm chips and salsa. As soon as we came to the restaurant it was really nice. The server regularly checked on us, asking us whether we needed anything else or not. Salsa could be a little more fresher. The spinach dip that we got was nice, it is a little more saucy than what we thought on the other hand. The quesadilla was decent. It was not the best quesadilla I’ve ever had or the worst queso I’ve ever had so I would give the food a decent ranking. The restrooms were clean as well. we have been lucky, and by that I mean 5 days before we ate here we ate in a Mexican restaurant that we beleved that was the definition of Mexican food in the US, and doubt it could be matched and it was. Atmosphere in El Patron was great the facilities well taken care of, the staff very friendly and accommodating, prices really easy on the wallet, and the meal was great, astounding. I'm old and love Mexican restaurants and food, and now have to plan on hitting my 2 favorite Mexican restaurant, before I take the big plunge. I sent my order back because it was cold. A guy came out asking what's wrong with it because he made it. I told him and he was not happy. He offered to make it again, I said ok. It was the same. I just didn't expect that when they say cheese dip it would be cold. I had a quesadilla with cheese dip over it. Nothing was warm with the meal. Not even the grilled chicken or tort.
