The Ideal Bite Community Kitchen — Restaurant in Farmington Hills

I was introduced to Ideal Bites when the cafe at my office building was being renovated. The food was amazing every time, regardless of what I ordered. As a result, I sought out their bricks and mortar location in Farmington. It has become my favorite place for brunch. The Shrimp and Cheese Grits are out of this world, and if they are out when you get there (yeah they really are that good), try the Pork Belly Benedict. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, and if you are too busy to cook during the week, be sure to check their refrigerator case for some wonderful, pre-packaged meals to go--all made from fresh ingredients by the talented chefs at Ideal Bites. This was my first time ordering from this restaurant. The phone call to place the order and pay for the order went smoothly. During this time of social distancing,after a quick phone call and car description upon arrival, my order was brought to my car. The food was delicious! The whitefish dinner was plentiful for my husband. The chicken parmesan sliders had great flavor. The BBQ panini was enjoyable also. We ordered several baked goods: gluten free carmelita, chocolate cupcake, and take and bake cinnamon roll pecan bread pudding. All of it was plentiful and delicious. I heard good things about this place and decided to make the journey here and try it out. The food and presentation is great and it tastes delicious, but its a bit on the pricy side. The service was alright for a quick service restaurant. The only thing that knocks this place down a star is the location in a strip mall. This type of food I usually wouldn't associate with this type of suburb if the location was more central such as downtown Royal Oak, Birmingham, Detroit or Ann Arbor I think the lines would be out the door because the food is that good.
