Golden Mango Japanese Restaurant – A Wonderful New Spot in Farmington!

Golden Mango Japanese Restaurant has quickly become one of our favorites! We’ve been longtime fans of their original location in Southington, known as Sweet Mango, which has earned so many awards over the years. So, we were thrilled to hear that they opened a second location in Farmington just three months ago!

My husband and I recently visited the new restaurant for lunch on a hot summer day—and what a lovely treat it was! The restaurant is beautifully set up and has the same familiar and comforting menu we’ve always loved. The best part? Owner Mandy is now working at this location, and she welcomed us so warmly that it felt just like coming home.

As always, the food was fresh and delicious, and the service was attentive and kind. With a larger parking lot and an easy exit from the highway, this new location is so convenient. Now, we’re lucky to have two great places to enjoy their wonderful cuisine, depending on where we are.

I recently visited Golden Mango in Farmington with a few friends, and we were blown away by the experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was cozy and welcoming, and the service was warm and attentive.

We started with the shrimp and pork gyoza and miso soup—both were absolutely delicious. The gyoza had the perfect crisp bite with a flavorful filling, and the miso soup was comforting and well-balanced.

For my main course, I had the chicken udon, and it was outstanding. The broth was rich and savory, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the chicken was tender and full of flavor. Every bite was satisfying and comforting.

What really stood out was the quality and care in each dish. You can tell the chefs take pride in their work. The portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and everything was beautifully presented.

Golden Mango is definitely a new favorite—we’re already planning our next visit! Whether you’re going out with friends or just craving incredible Japanese and Thai cuisine, this place...

Have had come here too many times to count. Nothing is wrong with the food quality. Take-out was fine until the past few months, where every time I’ve ordered it has taken an unreasonable amount of time to be prepared. Some days, there was no-one attending to orders at the front desk. However, their Sweet Mango counter-part in Southington I’ve had no issues with. Due to this I will unfortunately no longer be going to this location. Yummy sushi in Plainville has cheaper prices for sashimi and I can order and it will be ready in 10 minutes earlier than the estimated time. Here I come here 40 minutes after I order and I still wait an hour later. Unless you’d like to wait an hour and a half past your pick-up time, do yourself a favor and go...
